Scarce Smith & Wesson K-32 Masterpiece (Pre-
Model 16) Double Action Revolver with Gold Box
and Factory Letter - Serial no. K237093, 32 S&W
Long cal., 6 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
This is one of only 3,630 K-32 Masterpiece (Model 16
series) revolvers S&W manufactured over a 26 year
period starting in 1947. It is the rarest of the standard
K-Masterpiece target model series. The accompanying
factory letter states this scarce and very desirable
5-screw revolver was shipped on June 28, 1955, and delivered to Bostwick
Braun Co. of Toledo, Ohio, and confirms the 6 inch barrel, Patridge front sight,
blue finish, and checkered walnut grips. Matching serial numbers appear on
the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, crane, ejector, and barrel. Includes original
S&W gold box, cleaning rod with two attachments, knurled screwdriver, and “Helpful Hints” pamphlet.
CONDITION: Excellent overall retaining 98% bright original high polish blue finish with minimal handling
wear and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine.

The accompanying factory
letter states the revolver was
shipped on March 22, 1954,
and delivered to the National
Sporting Goods Co. of Muirkirk,
Maryland, with a 4 inch barrel, blue finish, and checkered walnut grips. This shipment was for
two units with the second handgun being a 6 1/2 inch target model. An included handwritten
note from the head of Smith & Wesson’s Eastern Sales Representative Group F.B. Mallory states
that “this gun was part of the Smith & Wesson display at the NRA National Convention in 1954
and was bought by [Mallory] following the show.” The NRA Annual Meeting for 1954 was held
in Washington, D.C., from March 27-April 4. Matching serial numbers appear on the butt, right
grip panel, cylinder, crane, ejector, and ejector shroud. The original S&W gold box and “Helpful
Hints” pamphlet are included.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish, mild thinning on the grip straps,
couple patches of mild pitting on the top rear grip straps, and some scattered high edge wear.
The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine.

Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum Pre-Model 27 Double Action
Revolver with 3 1/2 Inch Barrel, Gold Box, and Factory Letter
- Serial no. S104332, 357 Magnum cal., 3 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue
finish, checkered walnut grips. The accompanying factory letter
states this five-screw revolver was shipped on February 4, 1954,
and delivered to American Wholesale Hardware Co. of Long Beach,
California, and confirms the 3 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, and
checkered walnut grips. Matching serial numbers appear on the
butt, right grip panel, cylinder, crane, ejector, and ejector shroud.
The original Smith & Wesson gold box and tools are included.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with 95% plus original blue finish, a
rub mark on the trigger guard, a light cylinder drag line, otherwise
some scattered handling wear, and mostly crisp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine.

Outdoorsman (Pre-War) Double Action Revolver with Gold
Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 59961, 38 S&W Special cal.,
6 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, checkered walnut grips. The
accompanying factory letter states the revolver was shipped on
December 19, 1939, and delivered to Sgt. F.H. Lawrence, Oak Park
Police Department, Oak Park, Illinois, and confirms the 6 1/2 inch
barrel, Call gold bead front sight, square notch rear sight, blue
finish, and magna stocks. The right grip panel is numbered to a different gun; otherwise,
matching serial numbers appear on the butt, cylinder, crane, ejector, and ejector shroud.
Includes a later production S&W .38/44 Outdoorsman revolver gold box.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining 95% bright original high polish blue finish with
some light pitting on forward portion of top strap, light cylinder drag line and some
muzzle wear. Grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine.
