Colt Third Generation Buntline Special Single Action Army
Revolver with Stag Grips and Black Box - Serial no. SA45633, 45
Long Colt cal., 12 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, stag grips.
Manufactured in 1980. Features fixed blade front and top strap notch
rear sights, the one-line Colt address roll-marked on top of the barrel
with the model and caliber designations on the left side, the two-line
Colt patent dates roll-marked on the left of the frame followed with a
Rampant Colt, Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “K” proofs on the left side of the trigger guard, along with “H” on the right
side. Fitted with a pair of stag grips marked “EAGLE/GRIP/INDIA” on the interiors. Includes a non-matching numbered Colt
black box with an appropriate end label.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish and case colors with a few small specs of
freckling on the hammer, limited minor handling evidence, and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
The box is very fine with minor edge wear.

Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no.
0437SM, 45 Long Colt cal., 3 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
c. 1960-1975, one of only 503 Second Generation
Sheriff’s Model revolvers reportedly manufactured per page
28 of “Blue Book Pocket Guide for Colt Dates of Manufacture”
by R.L. Wilson. Features fixed blade front and top strap notch
rear sights, the two-line Colt address roll-marked on top of the barrel
with the model and caliber marking on the left side, the “SM” suffix serial number at
the bottom of the frame with the two-line Colt patent dates and Rampant Colt roll-
marked on the left side, along with Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “P” proofs on the
left and “P” also on the right sides of the trigger guard. Matching full serial numbers
on the frame, trigger guard, and grip straps, matching partial “437” serial number marked on the front of
the cylinder, and “348” assembly number on the loading gate. Fitted with a pair of smooth walnut grips
with matching partial “437” serial numbers written on the interiors in wax pencil.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish vivid and case colors with a few
rotation scratches on the cylinder and some limited minor handling marks otherwise.
Mechanically excellent.

Kingsville, Texas, Shipped Colt Second Generation Single Action
Army Revolver with Black Box and Factory Letter - Serial no.
13406SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1957, with the included
factory letter confirming this revolver’s configuration, including a 7 1/2
inch barrel in .45 caliber, blue finish, and type of grips not listed, when
sent as the only revolver of its type in a shipment to Ed Byrne Home &
Auto Supply at 6th & Lott in Kingsville, Texas, on August 15, 1957, with
Ed Byrne’s shop being known as the place where Robert J. Kleberg Jr.
(1896-1974), the owner of King’s Ranch at the time, would purchase his
firearms. Features fixed blade front and top strap notch rear sights, the
one-line Colt address roll-marked on top of the barrel with the model
and caliber designation on the left side, the two-line Colt patent dates
on the left side of the frame followed with a Rampant Colt, along with
Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “J” proofs on the left side of the trigger
guard and “1” on the right side. Matching full serial numbers on the
frame, trigger guard, and grip strap, along with assembly numbers “323”
on the front of the cylinder and rear of the loading gate. Fitted with
a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with matching serial numbers
etched on the interiors. Includes an original shipping box with Colt label addressed to Ed
Byrne Home & Auto Supply and an un-numbered Colt black box, with no end label.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish and case colors with some
muting to the case colors, some minor freckling, the balance of the grip strap smooth grey
and brown patinas, minor wear, and clear roll-marks. The grips are excellent with a few minor
handling marks and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. The shipping box and
black box are both very fine with some minor storage wear.

Excellent Nickel Plated Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Stagecoach Box -
Serial no. 66459SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1973.
Features fixed blade front and top strap notch rear sights, the one-line Colt address roll-marked on top of the
barrel with the model and caliber designation on the left slide, the two-line patent dates in front of a Rampant
Colt roll-marked on the left of the frame, along with Colt factory “triangle/VP” and “P” proofs on the left side and
“K” on the right side of the trigger guard. Matching full serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and grip strap,
matching partial serial number “459” marked on the front of the cylinder, and “305” assembly number on the
loading gate. Fitted with a pair of smooth walnut grips with matching “459” partial serial numbers written on the
interiors. Includes a non-matching numbered Colt “stagecoach” box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original nickel plating with limited minor handling evidence and
clear roll-marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with minor edge wear and a few corner tears.
