Highly Attractive Deluxe Engraved Gold Plated Miniature
Reproduction of a Stevens Tip-Up Rifle by Mike Barrett -
NSN, 10 inch part octagon bbl., blue/gold finish, hardwood stock.
Manufactured in 1998 by Mike Barrett as an approximately 1:2 scale replica of
highly finished, deluxe engraved Stevens tip up rifle. The bottom of the barrel has Barrett’s
mark and the “98” date, while the top and upper left of the barrel have the standard Stevens markings, and there is a
gold inlaid band at the breech. The gold plated frame is extensively engraved with floral scroll surrounding a stag on the
left and a wolf’s head on the right. It is mounted with a very finely figured stock. This particular miniature is pictured and
described on p. 84 of “The Art of Miniature Firearms, Centuries of Craftsmanship” by The Miniature Arms Society.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% plus of the blue finish on the barrel and gold finish on the frame with only
the slightest handling evidence and crisp engraving. Some mild thinning of the finish on the buttplate. Mechanically
functions in a currently non-firing state.

Highly Attractive Engraved Miniature E. Remington & Sons Deluxe Rolling Block Rifle by Jerry
Missimer - NSN, 15 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured c. the early
2000s by Jerry Missimer as an approximately 1:2 scale, non-firing replica of an engraved, deluxe, Remington
Rolling Block rifle in the “Long Range Creedmoor” configuration. The bottom of the barrel lists the maker, the
stockmaker as J. Corpe, the engraver as R. Sampson, and the finishers as Color Case Co. and Terry Farrand. The major components of the rifle
feature beautiful, factory style floral scroll engraving. It is fitted with a globe front sight with spirit level and a long range Vernier peep sight. It is mounted with a
very attractively figured and checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a cheekpiece and shotgun buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% plus of the original blue and casehardened finishes with only the slightest handling evidence overall. Mechanically functions.

Incredible Cased Roger
Sampson Master Engraved
Mike Barrett Miniature J. M. Marlin Ballard Schuetzen Rifle - NSN, 13 1/2 inch part octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
walnut stock. The consignor indicated this non-firing miniature rifle was a collaboration for the Firearms Engravers Guild of America show in 2001 and was built my master miniaturist Mike Barrett, engraved by FEGA Master
Engraver Roger Sampson, checkered by James Corpe, and finished by Doug Turnbull and Terry Farrand. It has “MB” and “RS” signatures on the bottom of the frame. The rifled barrel is equipped with a globe front sight and is
marked “38-55” on the upper left at the breech. The frame is marked “J.M. MARLIN, NEW HAVEN. CONN. USA./BALLARD’S PATENT. NOV. 5. 1861.” on the left and features incredibly intricate interlacing scrollwork with finely beaded
backgrounds, game scenes featuring a bear on the left and a stag on the right, a variety of decorative borders, and floral accents. It has a “double set trigger” (does not set, both will release the hammer). The Swiss style buttplate
has coordinating engraving. The deluxe walnut Schuetzen stock and forearm are finely checkered, and the forearm is mounted with a palm rest. It comes in a closely fitted case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with 98% plus original blue and casehardened finish, crisp engraving and markings, sharp checkering, a slight trace of a hairline crack at the top of the wrist, and minimal light handling and storage
marks. Mechanically functions. The case is very good with isolated wear at the edge and corners.
