has a “42” dated chamber, the Mauser Banner logo on the toggle, and commercial “eagle/N” proofs on the left of the receiver, left of the breech block, and on the front sight block. Fitted with a blue finished magazine with

“eagle/655” proofed, unnumbered right grip panel, and the remaining visible serial numbered components matching. “GESICHERT” marked safety area and “GELADEN” marked extractor. According to consignor notes, this Luger came with the accompanying Portuguese Navy contract Luger holster. This pattern of holster is described on page 1287 of “Pistole Parabellum Volume III” in which it is referred to as the final pattern for the Portuguese m/943 P.08 Luger pistols.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% arsenal refurbished blue finish with smooth brown patina on the balance, a few scattered small patches of light freckling/pitting, and sharp markings in the metal overall. 40% straw colors visible on small parts. The replacement grips are also fine with some minor surface chips. Mechanically excellent. Included holster is very fine. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Model 1906 Commercial “Long Frame” Safety Marked Variation Luger
Pistol with Stock Lug and Holster - Serial
no. 27272, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This original DWM Model 1906 commercial Luger has a rare Navy style “long frame” with a stock lug. It has the correct early style 4

style barrel, grip safety,
scarce “GESICHERT” marked
lower safety area and “GELADEN” extractor. Numbered in the commercial style
with full serial number stamped on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame and the last two digits of the serial number stamped on the various small parts. The grips are unnumbered. No proofs are visible anywhere on the pistol. It is complete with one original magazine that has a nickel plated body and an original unmarked wooden base. Includes a second pattern Swiss military Bern leather holster.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% original blue finish with smooth gray and brown patina on the balance. 60% straw colors visible on the small parts. Grips are also very fine with a few small chipped diamond panels. Mechanically excellent. Included holster is fine.

DWM Model 1923 American Eagle Commercial
Navy Pattern Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol
with A. F. Stoeger Markings - Serial no. 419v,
7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue/
straw finish, walnut grips. Manufactured for commercial export to the United States, with
A.F. Stoeger of New York City being a primary importer, offering both standard configuration
commercial Lugers and emulations of variants like the Artillery Luger. This example has been
configured after the Navy Luger, with the longer barrel, fixed blade front and two position range
adjustable rear sight. In addition to the prominent American eagle crest stamped chamber and the “DWM” monogrammed front toggle link, the right side of the extension is marked “A.F. STOEGER, INC/NEW YORK.” along with “GERMANY.” The right side frame rail is marked “LUGER
-REGISTERED U.S. PATENT OFFICE” and “GERMANY” is marked on the front. The extractor and upper safety position are marked “LOADED” and “SAFE.” No proofs are externally visible, with matching “commercial” pattern serial numbers on the barrel, frame, takedown lever, sideplate, and trigger. Fitted with straw and nitre blue finished small parts, with a pair of unmarked checkered walnut grips and a nickel finished magazine with a “GERMANY” marked hardwood base.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% plus professionally
restored blue and 80% plus refurbished straw finishes with light edge
wear, minor handling marks, and crisp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Swiss Contract DWM Model 1900 Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 2322, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch
round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips. Features fixed blade
front and notch rear sights, Swiss “cross in sunburst” crest on
top of the chamber, and “DWM” monogram on the front toggle, early dished toggles with toggle
lock, a flat breech bolt, grip safety, no stock lug, flat mainspring, and fast taper barrel. The left of
the barrel, left of the barrel extension, and rear toggle are marked with Swiss “cross” proofs, along with a cross/V” proof on the extension. With matching serial numbers on the barrel and frame, along with matching “322” partial on the extension and “22” partials on the takedown lever, side plate, trigger, toggles, and bolt. Fitted with matching checkered walnut grips numbered “22” on the interior. The nickel finished magazine is fitted with
a small ordnance marked hardwood base. With an unknown
period string and stamped lead inventory marker
attached to the barrel.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 97% plus
arsenal refurbished blue finish and straw colors, with
light handling marks, thinning on the left side of the frame,
and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Rare Third Contract Portuguese Navy “41” Date Mauser
Banner Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Matching Numbered
Magazine - Serial no. 6958W, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
This pistol was part of a final contract for the Portuguese Navy of which there are believed to
have been approximately 50 or less delivered in the 6916w-6980w serial number range (reference
pg. 416 of “The Mauser Parabellum 1930-1946” by Don R. Hallock and Joop van de Kant). These
pistols saw extensive service until the 1970s with Portugal. This commercial Luger has a “41” dated chamber,
the Mauser Banner logo on the toggle, and the proper commercial “eagle/N” proofs on the left of the receiver,
left of the breech block, and on the front sight block. All the visible numbered components are matching including the aluminum base of the blue finished magazine, with unnumbered checkered walnut grip panels. This pistol has standard fixed sights with “SEGURANCA” marked safety area and “CARREGADA” marked extractor.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% arsenal refurbished blue finish with
scattered nicks and scratches, smooth brown and gray
patina on the balance, and sharp markings in the metal
overall. 40% straw colors visible on small parts. Grips are
also fine with some scratches and handling marks in the
otherwise clear cut checkering. Mechanically excellent. This rare
example of a Third Contract Portuguese Navy “41” date Mauser
Banner Luger pistol would make a fine addition to any Luger collection!
