Factory Engraved J. P. Sauer & Sohn Boxlock Drilling - Serial no. 343146, 16/8x57 gauge, 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and flip-up rear sights on the matted solid rib, standard barrel markings, bands of engraving at either shotgun breech, 1944 dated German proofs, chambers marked 2 1/2 inches with extractor, and choke constrictions of .022/.026 inches. The casehardened sideclipped boxlock action displays light scroll engraving and features a Greener style safety, cocking indicators, double triggers (front is single set), and tang mounted selector. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with raised
cheekpiece, casehardened steel grip cap, rear sling swivel, and factory buttplate. Length of pull 14 1/8 inches. Weight 6 lbs. 14 oz. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue finish and 70% original case colors, minor handling evidence, a few small dings and scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Carl Stiegele Sidelock Drilling with Scope and Scope Case - Serial no. 11193, 16/8x57 cal., 24 13/16 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front sight, two position (one standing, one folding) rear sight, and German style claw mounts on the matted solid rib which is marked with the maker’s name and address in gold and bands of gold inlay at the breech. Shotgun chamber measured 2 1/2 inches with extractor and choke constriction of .025 inches. The casehardened sidelock action displays attractive scroll engraving and features a Greener style safety, cocking
indicators (left absent), dual single set triggers, and tang mounted selector. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol
raised cheekpiece, casehardened steel cartridge trap, rear sling swivel, and horn grip cap and buttplate. With an Ajack 4x scope (mounts do not mate with mounts on the rib) and a leather scope case. Length of pull 13 15/16 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 2 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original blue finish, 99% original gold, and 40% original case colors with the balance a fine grey, and light
handling evidence. There is a crack off the rear of the left lockplate, otherwise the wood is very good with some dings and scratches, worn checkering on the forend, and crisp checkering at the wrist. Scope has clear optics. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,250

  Pre-World War II Engraved Emil Kerner Boxlock Drilling - Serial no. 14475, 16/8x57 IRS cal., 26 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blue Krupp Steel with a beaded blade front and automatic flip up rear notch sight, matted rib, chambers measured at 2 1/2 inches, single extractor, and standard German proofs on the underside. The scalloped, side clipped boxlock action is an attractive coin gray with a Greener style cross-bolt, full coverage leafy scroll engraving and finely detailed game scenes of a doe and stag on the right and another stag and doe on the left. Dual triggers, Greener style side safety, checkered cocking piece for the rifle barrel, and carved horn trigger guard. Checkered
walnut forearm with Deeley latch and engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, sling swivels, raised cheek piece, cartridge trap with engraved hunting scene, and serrated horn buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 11/16 inch drop at heel; 13 3/4 inch length of pull. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% plus original blue and coin finishes, scattered scratches along the barrels, and some areas of light spotting. The wood is good with numerous cracks
and repairs with two pins in the wrist and a through bolt at the head and a pinned section at the action, trigger guard separated with a crack, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

The casehardened action displays game scenes on the left and right with leaf scroll on the balance and features double trigger (front is a single set), Greener style safety, and tang mounted selector. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and horn grip cap and buttplate.

Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, engraved coin cartridge trap, and horn grip cap and buttplate. Length of

CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, a couple slight stress lines in the wood at the receiver and upper tang, spliced knot in stock, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
