Holland & Holland Bolt Action Magazine Rifle with Case - Serial no. 96545, 7 mm Rem Magnum cal., 25 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1958 and 1965. The barrel is marked “HOLLAND & HOLLAND, 13 BURTON STREET, LONDON” at the center and “7M/M Remington/Magnum” on top of the chamber. Fitted with ramped beaded blade front sight with
folding hood, two leaf rear sight (one standing one folding). The action has a matted front ring and is fitted with a set of quick detach scope bases. The triggerguard is engraved with the serial number, and the floorplate is marked “3 CARTRIDGES” ahead of “MADE/IN/ENGLAND” on the bottom metal. Mounted in a beautifully contrasted nicely figured multipoint checkered walnut stock with shadowline cheekpiece, casehardened pistol grip cap and engraved cross bolts, blank initial escutcheon, and a red rubber recoil pad. Includes a canvas covered case containing two nickel oilers. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% professionally refinished blue finish with some handling marks, extensive pitting on the bolt, and some light oxidation on the right side of the front receiver ring. Stock is also very fine with overall crisp checkering and a few scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good. Estimate: 4,500 - 6,500

Westley Richards Magazine Bolt Action Rifle in .318 Accelerated Express - Serial no. 38992, 318 Express cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Built off a Mauser 98 pattern action. Features a ramped beaded blade front with folding cover and five-leaf (one standing, four folding graduated from 100-500 yards) rear notch sights, a re-attached sling loop, barrel marked “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. LONDON” ahead of the rear sight, along with “318 EX/CORDITE 37-250 MAX” and British proofs on the right at the breech. A triangle is stamped into the barrel knox. The top left side of receiver marked “L.T. 38992/WESTLEY RICHARDS/318 ACCELERATED/ EXPRESS” while the top of the receiver ring is matted. The bolt handle is fitted with a horn knob, and the magazine floor plate features a unlocking lever, and the magazine lacks a follower or follower spring. Fitted with a multi- point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with horn forend cap, horn grip cap, blank silver inscription oval, and trapdoor buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refinished, retaining 85% plus blue finish with light spotting, edge wear, and thinning round the chamber and breech. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled with crisp re-cut checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Holland & Holland Bolt Action Magazine Rifle in .275 Magnum with Kahles Scope - Serial no. 179, 275 Magnum cal., 25 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The barrel is marked “HOLLAND & HOLLAND, 98 NEW BOND ST., LONDON.” at the center and “HOLLAND’S/.275 MAGNUM/RIMLESS/CARTRIDGE” on top of the chamber and fitted with ramped beaded blade front sight with adjustable hood, two leaf rear sight (one standing one folding) sighted for 50/200 and 350 yards, and central sling eye. The action has a matted front ring and is fitted with a set of quick detach scope rings holding a Kahles Helia S2 2x scope (clear optics). The triggerguard is engraved with the serial number. Mounted in a nicely igured multi-point checkered walnut stock with casehardened pistol grip cap, magnum cross bolt, escutcheon with the initials “WRH,” and a horn buttplate. CONDITION: Very good overall, retaining 65% plus original blue finish on the barrel and 65% professionally refinished blue finish on the receiver and bolt with scattered spotting and pitting on the barrel, bolt, and receiver along with grey patina on the magazine floor plate and trigger guard. The stock is good as re-oiled with bruising in the forend checkering and crisp grip checkering. Scope has clear optics. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
LOT 573 Desirable 1903 Dated Mauser 98 Oberndorf Bolt Action Sporting Rifle - Serial no. 5722, 8 mm Mauser cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel with ramped, blade front sight and ladder rear sight. The chamber has proof marks “crown/B” and “crown/U” on the left, and the top of the chamber is marked “WAFFENFABRIK/ MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N” and is dated “1903”. The barrel and bolt are numbered to the receiver, and “22” is visible on smaller assembly parts. The bottom of the multi-point checkered pistol grip appears to have Gothic proofs. The lightly figured stock has a Mauser hard rubber buttplate on it. Front sling swivel absent. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish, with minor handling evidence, finish loss where the front sling swivel was removed, and minimal edge wear. Stock is fine with some bruises and period repaired grain lifting visible on the right rear side of the butt. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
