Factory Master Olaf Weiss Signed and Game Scene Engraved Gebruder Merkel Double Rifle - Serial no. A375032, 375 H&H magnum cal., 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a ramped blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sights on the matted solid rib, light engraving at the breech, 1999 dated German proofs, and chambers with a single extractor. The coin finished sideclipped boxlock action displays light scroll engraving around a standing bull elephant on the left side and a pouncing lion on the right side. The
engraving is signed “O.WEISS” in a banner on the left side for Merkel Master Engraver Olaf Weiss. The rifle features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with black plastic grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and black plastic buttplate. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, some minor oxidation around the forend lug and front sling swivel base, slight stress line at the upper tang, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 8,000

Factory Engraved Perugini & Visini Boxlock Express Double Rifle with Case - Serial no. 984, 9.3x74R cal., 24 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a ramped beaded blade front sight, fixed rear sight on the raised rear quarter rib, standard factory markings, 1984 dated Italian proofs, import mark under the forend, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin
finished scalloped boxlock action shows broad leafy scrollwork with factory markings on
the underside. The rifle features a right hand rolled trigger guard, double triggers, and a manual tang mounted safety switch. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece and factory buttplate. Includes a canvas and leather bound takedown case with factory trade label inside the lid. Length of pull 14 7/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes with some light rubbing at the left muzzle, a few small scratches near the right breech, and overall minor handling evidence. The buttplate is chipped at the toe, otherwise the wood is excellent with a few minor scratches around the trigger guard tang and sharp checkering. The case is very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 8,000

Factory Engraved Chapuis Progress Express Double Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 27436, 30-06 Springfield cal., 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with beaded blade front sight, fixed rear sight and scope mounts holding a Leupold 3-9x Vari-X II scope on the raised rear quarter rib which is marked “EXPRESS CHAPUIS FRANCE”, light engraving bands at the breech, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened boxlock action displays floral and scroll engraving and features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with a Decelerator recoil pad. Length of pull 14 7/8 inches.
  Weight 8 lbs. 14 oz. (with scope). CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few minor dings, a couple chips in the pistol grip, and sharp checkering. Scope optics clear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
