Silver Plated Copy of George S. Patton’s First Generation
Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Carved Patriotic
Eagle Grips - Serial no. 234151, 45 Long Colt cal., 4 3/4 inch
round bbl., silver finish, carved grips. Manufactured in 1902 and subsequently masterfully transformed into a replica of the iconic Single Action Army famously carried by General George S.
Patton by Master Engraver John Adams Sr. The revolver displays floral scroll engraving on a punch-dot background
with zig-zags, intertwining lines, checkered panels, fans, and starburst motifs. The work is signed “J ADAMS” on the front of the triggerguard. The left grip is carved with an eagle holding a patriotic shield and the right is scrimshawed with the initials “GSP”.
The included letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, Patton style engraving, finish, and carved grips when completed on April 25, 2007.
CONDITION: Very fine, as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Sr., retaining 99% plus silver plating with limited handling marks, an attractive patina, and crisp engraving. Grips are also very fine with a few minor hairline age cracks and an attractive aged coloration. Mechanically excellent. This would make an exceptional addition to any U.S. Military Colt Single Action Army Collection!

Revolver with Extra Cylinder - Serial no. SA42441, 44-40 / 44 Spl
cal., 3 inch round bbl., nickel finish, smooth grips. Manufactured in 1980 and subsequently embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Sr. The
revolver features 90% coverage floral scroll engraving which extends onto the front sight blade with checkerboard and punch and leafy flourishes on the back strap and top strap. The hammer has been engraved with a screaming
eagle motif on both sides. The work is signed “J. ADAMS” on the front of the frame. Includes a Colt hardwood case with lid plaque reading “Colt/Sheriff Model/Engraved by/John Adams Sr.” containing an engraved to match .44 Special cylinder and a cleaning rod.
CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Sr., retaining 99% plus nickel finish with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Serialized Pair of Colt Second Generation Single Action
Army Revolvers with Factory Letter and Holster Rig -A)
Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 25602SA, 45
Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber
grips. The included factory letter lists these revolvers as leaving
the factory as a pair in .45 caliber with 7 1/2 inch barrels, nickel
finish, and grips not listed when shipped to Universal Traders
in Canton, Illinois on April 14, 1959. The pair is fitted with blade
front and frame notch rear sights and wear a set of hard rubber
full checkered grips with Rampant Colt panel at the top. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard, and back strap with abbreviated serial numbers on the front cylinder face and consecutive assembly numbers on the loading gates. The pair is fitted in a hardwood double gun case with red velvet lining fit for both guns. Includes a reproduction box numbered to each revolver and an El Paso Saddlery Co. double holster rig with rear cartridge loops. Page 64 in Don Wilkerson’s “Colt Single-Action Revolver Handbook 1955- 1975” states that only 36 sets in this configuration were made, making this an example of the rarest consecutive sets of standard revolvers made.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with limited handling marks, a faint cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with limited storage and handling marks. Holster rig is very fine as well showing wear form use and some staining from cylinders rubbing against the interior. B) Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 25603SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. As described in “A” but with replacement grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with limited handling marks, a faint cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Have fun finding another set like this! Don’t squander this opportunity!
