Documented John Adams Sr. Signed Cattle Brand Engraved and Gold Inlaid Colt Third Generation Sheriff’s Model Single Action Army Revolver with Engraving Letter - Serial no. S60384A, 45 Long Colt cal., 3 inch round bbl., dark blue finish, ebony grips. Manufactured in 2009, and subsequently embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Sr. The revolver features 85% coverage floral scroll engraving with punch dot matted backgrounds and wavy line motifs. The front of the frame under the cylinder pin is signed “J. ADAMS”. The revolver displays extensive gold inlays with a band at the muzzle and frame ends of the barrel, two bands at the rear of the cylinder, a highlight line at the rear of the hammer, barbed wire motifs on the top strap and back strap, and 16 cattle brands including the famous “broken arrow”, “dollar sight”, “horse track”, and “walking 7”. Included with the revolver is a Adams & Adams Engravers letter confirming the caliber, barrel length, 22 karat gold inlays, ebony grips by Dan Chesiak, and dark blue finish when completed on February 23, 2011. CONDITION: Excellent overall as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Sr., retaining 99% plus dark blue finish with limited handling marks, an attractive plum coloration on the hammer, and crisp engraving. Documented John Adams Jr. Signed and Master Engraved First Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 334501, 32-20 WCF cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, smooth grips. Manufactured in 1916 and subsequently engraved by Master Engraver John Adams Jr. The barrel has a spray on either side which surrounds the caliber marking and flanks the Colt address. The frame displays nearly full coverage floral scroll engraving on a punch-dot background with leaves on the top strap and a flourette above the cylinder pin release and on the loading gate. The cylinder has sprays of floral scroll between the flutes, a fan behind each flute, and two bands of engraving at the rear. The back strap has a fan at the top and floral scroll on either end of a blank panel on the back strap and a spray on the butt. The triggerguard is flanked by dot and wavy line engraving with a martial shield on the bow. Includes an Adams & Adams engravers letter confirming the caliber, barrel length, engraving, Turnbull finish, and grips when completed in March of 2005. CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Jr., retaining 99% plus Turnbull blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and crisp engraving. The grip is also excellent and has attractive coloration. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Master Engraved Colt Third Generation Black Powder Frame Storekeeper Model Single Action Army Revolvers with Relief Carved Grips and Engraving Letters -A) Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. S60400A, 45 Long Colt cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, carved grips. Manufactured in 2009, just twenty-five serial numbers apart, this pair of revolvers have been embellished by some of the most sought after names in the world of modern firearms. Both revolvers display Adams & Adams “C” coverage floral scroll and geometric motif engraving extending onto the front sights and hammers with “A” in the style of Cuno Helfricht and the “B” in the style of Louis Nimschke, two of the most influential Colt Master Engravers. Both revolvers are signed with John Adams Jr.’s “intertwined JA” initials on the triggerguard beneath the grip. The pair have been finished with the signature blue finish and case colors of Doug Turnbull. These revolvers both wear attractively carved grips showing a snake intertwined in a bull skull on “A” and “B” showing the iconic Rampant Colt on the globe. Included with the revolvers is an Adams & Adams Engravers letter confirming the calibers, barrel lengths, engraving, finishes, and carved grips when completed in July of 2021, as well as a hardwood double gun case with reproduction Colt trade label on the interior of the lid. Each revolver comes with a Colt blue box and original shipping carton. CONDITION: Excellent overall as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Jr., retaining 99% plus Turnbull blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and crisp engraving. The grips are excellent as well with a couple minor age cracks on the carving and an attractive coloration. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine. B) Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. S60375A, 44-40 cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, carved grips. As described in “A”. CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Jr., retaining 99% plus Turnbull blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and crisp engraving. Grips are excellent as well with a few minor handling marks and an attractive aged coloration. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 6,000 - 9,000
