Winchester Deluxe Skeet
Model 12 Pigeon Grade Style 28 Gauge Slide Action Shotgun with Box
- Serial no. 1614149, 28 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1957 and subsequently upgraded. White bead front and steel bead mid sights on the second style round post, matte, vent rib barrel with standard markings, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and “SKEET” marked choke. The classic Winchester pigeon is engraved over the serial number on the takedown collar with matching numbers on the receiver and barrel group. Deluxe grade, checkered, extension forearm and pistol grip stock with factory class “A” carved borders, blue steel grip cap, and checkered Winchester buttplate. With original box with the deluxe, “A” carved wood noted on the reproduction label. Length of pull is 14 inches. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored/upgraded to current configuration. 98% blue finish remains with some scattered small surface scratches and light handling marks. The wood has sharp checkering, highly attractive figure, and just a few small dings. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with some separated corners on the lid portion, storage marks overall, some light staining, and old tape. Estimate: 9,500 - 16,000

“JKB” Signed Game Scene Engraved and Gold and Silver Inlaid Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. 135604, 410 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, fancy checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1954 and subsequently wonderfully embellished. The muzzle is inlaid with an intertwining line pattern in gold
with a similar motif inlaid in silver and gold on the magazine retainer and barrel collar. The receiver has been engraved with factory style scroll surrounding game scenes on either side with a gold inlaid band at the rear. The left game scene depicts a pair of quail flying through a forest while the left has a pair of doves flying through a field with mountains in the background. The right
scene is signed “JKB” at the bottom. On both the barrel collar and the receiver the serial number has been gold inlaid. Mounted with a magnificently figured fleur-de-lis checkered walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock with ebony grip cap and Pachmayr recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at the comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at the heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as custom embellished, retaining 99% plus refinished blue finish with some light handling marks, spots of pitting under the finish, light oxidation in spots of the engraving, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine as well with some dings and scratches, a small crack on the right side of the wrist at the receive, and some crazing of the varnish where the grip cap meets the stock. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250

Jeff Flannery Signed, Panel Scene Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 12 Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. 1157145, 12 gauge, 30 inch round bbl., blue finish, fancy checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1948 and subsequently embellished by Master Engraver Jeff Flannery. Blued steel barrel with 2 3/4 inch chamber and choke marked “MOD.” and standard markings on the left and “Blue Skies and Clear Shots Love Lynne, Joshua, Alexandra, and Nicholas” hand engraved on the right. The blued action features floral scroll engraving with wavy line and gold inlaid borders, as well as a
game scene on either side. The right scene shows an eagle swooping down to grab its next victim, and the right has a pointer and a pheasant in a field scene with gold inlaid initials “R.S B.” above. All three of the animals have been gold inlaid. The top of the ejection port has been signed “J. Flannery Eng.” Mounted in a wonderfully figured multipoint checkered walnut forend and pistol grip stock with
Old English recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 1/4 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as embellished by Jeff Flannery, retaining 90% refinished blue finish with some oxidation on the barrel and collar, moderate handling marks, and crisp engraving. Wood is fine with scattered dings and scratches, chips in the checkering, and two hairline cracks with the wood grain on the right side. Mechanically functions, though the slide release must be actuated in order to operate the slide after each shot. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000
