Factory Double Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning Auto 5 Gold Classic “027 of 500”
Semi-Automatic Shotgun with Box - Serial no. 211GC027, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut stock. Dual white bead sights on the
matted vent rib barrel, with standard markings, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and choke marked modified. The coin receiver displays semi-relief floral scroll engraving
surrounding a pointer and duck scene on the lower left side above “027 OF FIVE HUNDRED” with the bird, dog and lettering inlaid in gold, the upper left of the receiver shows four ducks in flight over a marsh. On the right, the lower portion of the receiver shows two ducks above a ribbon reading “BROWNING GOLD CLASSIC” both of which are inlaid in gold and ahead of a gold inlaid bust of John Moses Browning. The upper portion of the right side displays a similar duck scene to the upper left side. The receiver is signed on both sides: “J.M. DEBRUS” on the left and “D. SEPTON” on the right for Browning master engravers. Mounted with a beautifully figured multi-point checkered with string of pearls border walnut forend and round knob pistol grip stock with FN Browning buttplate. Includes the original factory box. Stock measurements: 1 11/16 inch drop at the comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at the heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 4 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue, coin, and gold finishes with limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The box is fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 7,500

Factory J. Baerton Signed and Engraved Belgian Browning Superposed Broadway Trap Diana Grade Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 93538, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/French grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1961. Blued Special Steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, single band of engraving at the upper breech, chokes marked “*”/”*” (full/full), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The French grey receiver is engraved in the Diana Grade pattern with flowing scroll designs surrounding four game scenes depicting mallards in a marsh on the right, a covey of pheasant in a wooded scene on the left, a pair of quail on the underside, and a pair of rabbits on the trigger guard. The action is signed “J. Baerton” on the right side beneath the game scene for FN Master Engraver Jose Baerton. Single gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch with gold “S”, “O”, and “U”. Nicely contrasted, multi-point
checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip buttstock with Browning ventilated recoil pad. Includes a Guardian canvas covered takedown case with leather corners. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue and French grey finishes with a couple light handling mark, some takedown wear, and crisp engraving. Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Superposed .410 Bore Pigeon Grade Shotgun - Serial no. 1637J6, 410 gauge, 26 3/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1966. Blued steel barrels with single bead sight on the matted vent rib, chokes marked “**-”/”**” (improved cylinder/modified), and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin gray finished action displays the standard Pigeon Grade full coverage floral scroll engraving surrounding scenes of pigeons in flight on the left and right as well as relief carved oak leaf and acorn designs carved at the fences. Gold washed single trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch with gold inlaid “O”, “U”, and “S”. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. Stock measurements: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 3/8 inches; weight 6 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence except for some loss on the gold washed trigger. Wood is very good with minor dings and scratches, crazing of the varnish behind the action, and sharp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
