Angelo Bee Master Engraved and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning 20 Gauge
Midas Grade Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 48274V8, 20 gauge,
26 3/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1968. Single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings, wedges
scroll engraving at the breech end, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors,
and “**-”/”**” (improved cylinder/modified) marked chokes which have been altered to accept Briley choke tubes. The blued action displays full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot background surrounding game bird scenes showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three mallards on the right, and a grouse on the underside. The birds are rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The piece is signed “ABEE” on both sides of the action at the low
rear. The triggerguard and tangs are engraved with matching scroll and checker board patterns and an initial shield at the center of the guard with relief gold inlaid initials “F/M/R”.
Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. Includes a Browning leatherette takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine inches from the breech .624/.625 inches; choke constriction .019/.013 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.040 inches; 1 12 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 11 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine with 99% professionally reapplied blue finish on the barrels and 99% original blue finish on the action and small parts with limited handling marks, softened barrel markings, and crisp engraving and stock checkering. Mechanicall

on the matted vent rib, standard markings, chokes marked “**”/”*” (modified/full), and
2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. French grey action displays flowing leafy scroll patterns surrounding brilliantly gold inlaid scenes of North American pintail ducks,
showing two on the left, two on the right, and two on the underside. The underside is inscribed and gold inlaid with
“AMERICAN PINTAIL 047 of 500 ANAS ACUTA”. The receiver is signed “L. Bleus” on the left for Browning Master Engraver
Louie Bleus. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted manual safety switch with gold inlaid “S”, “O”, and “U”. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered deluxe
walnut forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with skip-line checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches
from the breech .727/.725 inches; choke constriction .021/.035 inches; minimum wall thickness .043/.039 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 3/8 inches; length of
pull 14 1/8 inches; weight 7 lbs 4 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and French grey finishes with minimal handling marks, a couple light scratches on the stock, and mostly crisp engraving and stock
checkering. Mechanically excellent.
