Factory Double Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning American Pintail Limited Edition Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 8H4PZ00475, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/ gold/French grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1983. Dual white bead sights on the matte vent rib barrels with standard markings, chokes marked “**”/”*” (modified/full), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. French grey action with single gold washed trigger and sliding tang safety/selector switch. The action is fully engraved with flowing, leafy scroll patterns surrounding brilliantly gold inlaid scenes of North American pintail ducks, showing two on the left, two on the right, and two on the underside. The underside is inscribed and gold inlaid with “AMERICAN PINTAIL 475 of 500 ANAS ACUTA”. The action is signed “R.DEWIL” on the left side at the rear and “J.SCHVOLCZ” on the right side rear. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered deluxe walnut forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with skip-line checkered bare butt. Includes the original box and hardwood display case with shipping box. This gun is number 475 of the series along the following two lots. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech 0.725/0.724 inches; choke constriction 0.015/0.032 inches; minimum wall thickness 0.040/0.040 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches; weight 7 lbs 9 oz. gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/French grey/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1982. Dual white bead sights on the matte, vent rib barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors and chokes marked “**/*” (modified/full). The French grey action features full coverage leafy scroll engraving against shaded backgrounds surrounding highly detailed scenes of ducks in flight. Each duck is rendered in fine, detailed, semi-relief gold inlay, and the scenes themselves are bordered with gold wire inlay. The underside is inscribed and gold inlaid “BLACK DUCK ANAS RUBRIPES/475 of 500”. The left side of the receiver is signed “P. LALLEMAND”. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved to match with a gold inlaid bust of a duck on the guard. Mounted on an excellently figured checkered walnut round-knob pistol grip stock and multi-point checkered forearm with matching engraved fittings with a skip-line checkered bare butt. Includes the original box and display case. This gun is number 475 of the series along with the previous and following lots. 1980. Dual white bead sights on the vented rib, 2 3/4” chambers with chokes marked “**”/”*” (modified/full), and standard markings on the sides of the upper barrel. The French grey action has over 97% coverage with matte backed scrollwork on all sides. Gold inlaid borders and the following scenes with raised gold ducks: a pair of mallards in flight over a wetland on the right, two mallards landing on the left, a close up of the mallard head on the trigger guard, and one taking off and one in flight on the underside, above and below an inlaid banner reading “AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYRHYNCHOS/475 of 500”. Extra fancy checkered walnut pistol grip stock with semi-beavertail forearm, superb grain and a skip-line checkered bare butt. Includes the original box. This gun is number 475 if the series along with the previous two lots.
