06/29 Military Contract
Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol in Scarce 9 mm Parabellum - Serial no. 73068,
9 mm Luger cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic
grips. Manufactured by the Bern factory of Switzerland in
1944, this Model 06/29 Luger has been arsenal re-chambered
to 9 mm Parabellum instead of the standard 7.65 mm Luger Auto
chambering used by the Swiss military. Features fixed blade front and “U” notch
rear sights and Swiss “cross in shield” crest on the front toggle link. Matching serial
numbers are present on the frame, rear toggle, and barrel, with partial “68” on the
extension. Barrel marked with “cross” and “Bernerprobe” proofs, “FW+” Bern proof at
the rear of the frame, “GELADEN” marked extractor, and “S” marked upper safety position. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips and nickel finished magazine with matching
colored plastic base.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 85% plus arsenal refurbished blue finish with scattered light handling marks, thinning on the
extension, and crisp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

on page 56 of “The Swiss Variations”
by Fred Datig. Features fixed blade
front and notch rear sights, Swiss “cross
in shield” crest on the front toggle link,
Swiss “cross” and “Bernerprobe” proofs on
the fast tapered barrel, “FW+” Bern proof
at the rear of the frame, “GELADEN”
marked extractor, and “S” marked
upper safety position. Matching
serial numbers are present on the
frame, rear toggle, and barrel, with
“696” on the side plate and extension.
Fitted with a pair of brown plastic grips and nickel finished
magazine with brown plastic base.
Includes an “A.TRACHSEL/39/LEISSIGN”
marked brown leather holster, brown
leather shoulder straps, two extra nickel
finished magazines with brown plastic bases, an officer’s
dagger marked “ELSENER/SCHWYZ/VICTORIA” and scabbard,
a hardwood display stand, a copy of the Swiss “Die Pistolen”
manual, an article copy from “Automatic Magazine” in which
the pistol is discussed, and the collector’s notes.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus arsenal blue finish with light handling marks, slight fading on the backstrap, faint spotting, and crisp grip checkering. The holster rig and dagger are both very fine. Mechanically excellent.

Rare European Luger/Borchardt Style
Francotte Single Shot Target Pistol Serial
Number 10 - Serial no. 10, 22 LR cal., 4 3/4
inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This Auguste Francotte manufactured single shot .22 LR pistol has a manually operated toggle lock bolt that resembles a Luger or Borchardt pistol of the time. Belgian commercial crown proofs marked on the frame and barrel. August Francotte company logo marked on the
left rear of the frame above number “10”. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% original blue finish with smooth
brown patina on the balance.
Grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically fine. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

DWM Model 1900 Commercial Luger
Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1984,
7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut
grips. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, with a subsequently
added American eagle crest in gold coloration on the chamber, “DWM” on
the front toggle link. Early Luger features including dished toggles with toggle
lock on the right side, recessed breechblock, flat recoil spring, grip safety and no stock lug. No proofs visible on the barrel, extension, or frame, with matching visible serial numbers. The small parts are straw finished. Fitted with a pair checkered walnut grips numbered “84” on the interior and a nickel finished magazine with a hardwood base marked with small ordnance bomb. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as professionally reworked, retaining 95% blue
and 80% straw finishes with light
handling evidence, faint
spotting, and minor edge
wear. The grips are very fine
with light scuffs and crisp
checkering. Mechanically excellent.

DWM Model 1906 Swiss Military
Contract Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol
- Serial no. 4360n, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/
straw finish, walnut grips. Manufactured early during the fulfillment of
Switzerland’s second contract with DWM. Features fixed blade front and notch
rear sights, Swiss “cross in sunburst” crest on top of the chamber, and DWM
monogram on the front toggle. With the distinctive fast taper barrel, grip safety, no stock lug,
and flat toggles. The barrel is marked with “cross” and “Bernerprobe” Swiss proofs at the bottom,
while the left side of the extension and bolt are marked with “crown/N” proofs. Extractor marked
“LOADED” and safety polished bright in the lower position. All visible numbers match, with “60”
partials on the takedown lever, side plate, and rear toggle. Fitted with niter
blue and straw colored small parts
and unnumbered set of
checkered walnut grips. The
nickel finished magazine
is fitted with an unmarked
wood base.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining
95% plus of the arsenal refinished blue finish and 85% straw colors with light
handling evidence and thinning at the front of the extension. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
