   LOT 3617 Factory Engraved Eugen Minke Retailed Greifelt & Co. Boxlock Double Rifle - Serial no. 26715, 9.3 mm cal., 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued
Krupp steel barrels with ramped beaded blade front sight, two folding leaf rear sight, and German claw mounts on the matted solid rib which is marked “EUGEN MINKE, POZNAN”, marked “GREIFELT & Co: SUHL” on either barrel, bands of engraving at either breech, and caliber marked “8.9 mm/75” likely for the 9.3x75R Nimrod cartridge or possibly a slightly long chamber for the more common 9.3x74R. The casehardened boxlock action displays scroll engraving and features cocking indicators, dual single set triggers, and a tang mounted safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with shadowline cheekpiece, rear sling stud, horn grip cap, and red rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 7/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 13 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original blue finish, 60% original case colors, a few areas of minor speckling on the barrels, and overall light handling evidence. There are small cracks on either side of the stock head and a stress line at upper tang, otherwise the wood is very fine with a few light marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered one-piece stock with raised cheekpiece, engraved fittings, rear sling swivel, and engraved steel buttplate with cartridge trap. Includes a leather sling. Length of pull 14 1/4 inches. Weight 6 lbs. 15 oz. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish, smooth silver patina on the action and small parts, loss of gold and age darkened silver, moderate handling evidence, scattered light oxidation, and overall well-defined checkering on the wood. Factory Game Scene Engraved German Small Frame “Garden” Cape Gun with Scope -
NSN, 9mm/22 gauge, 23 7/16 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued barrels with beaded blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sight on the matted solid rib along with a Hensoldt-Wetzlar 2 3/4x scope. The barrels are chambered in a .22 rimfire cartridge as well as a 9mm shot cartridge. The casehardened action displays scroll engraving surrounding roe deer on the left and red deer on the right and the gun features double triggers (front single set), cocking indicators, and a tang mounted safety. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval, rear sling stud, and hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull 13 3/8 inches. Weight 6 lbs. 5 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue and 90% original casehardened finishes with scattered minor spotting, and light handling evidence. The wood is very good with some edge wear, a small crack at the left of the stock head, and well-defined checkering. Scope optics clear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,200 - 1,800
