LOT 3612 J.P. Sauer & Sohn Drilling with Scope - Serial no. 303537, 16/7x57 R gauge, 25 3/4 inch solid bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. The Sauer family has produced high quality handguns and long guns in Suhl since 1751. This drilling features a front bead tipped sight and hinged rear sight with two thin blue pieces of ceramic on the sides and a white triangle in the center on the matte rib. Each shotgun barrel is marked “KRUPP -- LAUFSTAHL”, and the top of the rib is marked “7 x 57R” under the scope. Both sides of the action are marked “J.P.SAUER &
SOHN, SUHL”. 16 gauge shotgun with 2 1/2 inch chambers, choked full and 7x57 R rifle, with extractor. There is a sling swivel mounted on the barrel. Equipped with a Kahles Wien H/26 6x scope. The casehardened action has light scroll engraving and the Sauer & Sohn logo underneath, double triggers, tang safety and cocking indicator pins. Checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with a black checkered horn grip cap and buttplate, cheek piece and sling swivel. 14 1/4 inch pull.
CONDITION: Very good. The barrels retain 98% of the original finish with some light spotting on the breech end of the left barrel and a few very light scratches. The action retains 75% of the vivid casehardened colors while the remainder has a smooth gray patina. The triggerguard is refinished with most of the finish remaining. The wood is excellent with a minor bruise on the left side of the wrist and a
few overall scattered minor dings and nicks. The scope is excellent, and the optics are clear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
LOT 3613 Factory Game Scene Engraved Sempert & Krieghoff Boxlock Drilling - Serial no. 21855, 16/9.3x74Rmm gauge, 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and flip-up rear sights on the matted solid rib, bands of engraving at either shotgun breeches, 1941 dated German proofs, chambers marked 2 1/2 inches with extractor, and chokes measured .025/.033 inches. The coin finished sideclipped boxlock action displays oak leaf engraving surrounding red stag scenes on the left and roe buck and does on the right. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers (front is single set), tang mounted selector, cocking indicators, and a Greener style safety. Nicely figured, multi-point
checkered forend and pistol grip stock with a horn grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and a plastic buttplate. 14 5/16 inch length of pull. Weight 7 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original blue and coin finishes with some scuffing at the muzzles, overall light handling evidence, a few dings and scratches in the stock, and overall sharp checkering on the wood. LOT 3614 Factory Engraved Sempert & Krieghoff Boxlock Drilling - Serial no. 15143, 16/7.8x72R gauge, 28 1/16 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and flip-up rear sights on the matted solid rib, bands of engraving at either shotgun breeches, chambers measured 2 3/4 inches with extractor, and chokes measured .035/.035 inches. The casehardened sideclipped boxlock action displays light scroll engraving and features double triggers, tang mounted selector, cocking indicators, and a Greener style safety switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and a Remington buttplate. 14 3/16 inch length of pull. Weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaing 90% original blue finish, 40% case colors with the balance a fine grey, scattered minor spotting, light handling evidence, and sharp recut checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,500

Beaded blade front and flip up rear sights on the matted solid rib, engraving at the breech, choke constrictions of .027/032 inches, and 2 1/2 inch chambers with extractor. The casehardened action displays game scenes on the left and right with leaf scroll on the balance and features double triggers (front is a single set), Greener style safety, cocking indicators, and tang mounted selector. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, engraved coin cartridge trap, and horn grip cap and buttplate. Includes a leather sling. Length of pull 14 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 3 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% original blue and coin finishes, some darkening on the action mostly at the rear, some edge wear on the wood, light handling evidence, and crisp overall checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250
