Built around a coin finished sidelock action which displays beautiful floral scrollwork surrounding a trio
of highly detailed etched game scenes. The scenes show a pointer flushing a pair of pheasants from cover on the left side, a pair of pointers flushing a cock pheasant on the right side, and a bust of a wire haired pointer on the underside. The engraving was executed by Italian Master Engraver Albino Contessa who has signed his last name on the triggerplate to the right
of the triggerguard. The gun features double triggers, right hand rolled triggerguard, gold centerline cocking indicators, and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid āSā indicator. The wood is beautifully figured with

Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed at 15.8mm (.622 inches) and measure .624/.623 inches; choke constriction .009/.016 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.034 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, a few small patches of discoloration on the action, some very light spotting near the breeches, and some dried grease on the right lockplate.
