Very Fine Katryn Nonn Signed and Factory Game Scene Engraved Krieghoff Sidelock Drilling with Swarovski Scope - Serial no. 081804, 20/8x57 gauge,
25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and scope mounts holding a Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24mm scope on the matted solid rib, bands of
engraving at the breech, front sling stud, import mark under forend, 2009 dated German proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The shotgun barrels
have 3 inch chambers and choke constrictions of .017/.027 inches. The barrels are mated to a highly attractive coin finished hand detachable sidelock action which displays gorgeous oak leaf engraving around a “KRIEGHOFF” banner on the underside and a pair of beautifully cut game scenes, one on either side. The left game scene shows a drift of four wild boars rummaging for a meal amongst the trees and the left side shows a roe buck with his doe and two fauns standing among the trees, both were cut in exceptional detail by the hand of factory engraver Katryn Nonn who has signed the piece “Nonn” on the left below the scene. The gun features two gold triggers (front is single set), shotgun cocking indicators, tang mounted manual rifle cocking piece, and a tang mounted safety. The gun is fitted with a highly-figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with raised Bavarian style cheekpiece, rear sling stud, and a rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 11 oz. (with scope). CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The scope has sharp optics. Factory Game Scene Engraved and Gold Inlaid Fortuna Sidelock Combination Gun Four Barrel Set with Case and Three Zeiss Scopes - Serial no. 61018, 16/7x65R gauge, 25 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Bohler steel barrels featuring a beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German style claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-ZM 1.5-6x42mm T* scope on the matted solid rib
which is marked with a gold “1” at the base. The barrels bear Fortuna maker’s marks, front sling swivel, attractive scroll engraving around the breech, import mark under the forend, 1964 dated German proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The shotgun barrel features a 2 3/4 inch chamber and a choke constriction of .037 inches. The barrels are mated to a very attractive coin finished hand detachable sidelock action which displays scroll engraving surrounding “FORTUNA SUHL” on the underside along with a pair of mallards as well as a game scene on either lockplate consisting of a pair of dogs running a pair of boars on the left and a red stag with a pair of hinds on the right. The gun features double triggers (front single set), cocking indicators, and a tang mounted safety with gold inlaid “s” indicator. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered three- piece forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock, polymer grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel,
and horn buttplate. Included with the gun are three extra barrels sets, all of which utilize the same forend, the
first is a 25 5/8 inches double 9.3x74R barrel set with a Zeiss Diavari-C 1.5-4.5x18mm scope, the second is a 25 5/8 inches double 7x65R barrel set with a Zeiss Diavari-Z
2.5-10x52mm T* scope, and the third is a double 16 gauge set with 2 3/4 inch chambers and choke constrictions of .030/.037 inches. Also included is a wood and leather takedown case that fits the action, four barrels, and one scope. Length of pull 14 3/4 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 4 oz. (with scope). CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, coin, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
