Dutch Contract DWM 1906 Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 13225, 9 mm
Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured circa 1915-1917, these Lugers were
produced in England for military export to the Netherlands. While
neutral in the First World War, many of these pistols saw hard use at sea
with the Royal Netherlands Navy, which continued to fight on in World
War II even after the loss of their home ports to the Germans and their East Indies
bases to the Japanese. Fixed sights, with the DWM logo on the toggle link, “RUST” safety marking, “GELADEN” on the extractor, “crown/N” proof on the left of the barrel extension
and a circled “HLK” marking on right. This marking is noted in Costanzo’s book on page
300, which listed the proof as an early “Dutch Colonies” mark. A brass plate stamped with the unit marking “e-I Atj./4” is located on the left of the frame. Non-matching replacement nickel finished magazine numbered “4484” on the walnut base, “62” on the rear toggle pin,
with otherwise matching remaining visible serial
numbers including the inside of both
grip panels.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% arsenal
refurbished blue finish with scattered freckling
and edge wear, and some areas of brown patina, and
50% of the straw colors showing on small parts. Grips are very fine with some light handling marks, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Weimar Era Simson & Company Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 2138, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Blank chamber area, two line “SIMSON & Co/SUHL”
marked toggle, drooped wing “eagle/6”, “eagle/33” and Imperial eagle
proofs on the right of the barrel extension and barrel, with the extractor
and safety marked “GELADEN” and “GESICHERT” respectively. Fitted with a correct
nickel finished magazine non-matching numbered “2361/+” on the alloy base with
drooped wing “eagle/6” stamps, unnumbered grips with correct “eagle/6” stamps on the insides, with otherwise all matching visible serial numbers on the pistol.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% original blue finish with some edge wear, freckling and smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, and 40% straw colors on the small parts. Grips are very fine with a few small nicks, and distinct checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

DWM Model 1920 Commercial
Navy Style Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
646u, 9 mm Luger cal., 6 inch
round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips. Manufactured during
the inter-war Weimar era with some parts left over from World War
I production. Features fixed front and “100” to “200” range adjustable
rear sights, “DWM” monogram on the front toggle link, and “1917” dated
front sight base. The frame is renumbered, with the markings on the underside of
the barrel and top of the chamber removed. Matching “46” partial serial numbers
on the takedown lever, trigger, side plate, safety, both toggle links, breech block, and extension. Fitted with straw colored and niter blue small parts, along with a unnumbered set of replacement checkered hardwood grips. Includes a nickel finished magazine with concentric circled walnut base with “GERMANY” marked on the bottom.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% arsenal reworked blue finish and 70% straw colors with thinning and signs of cold blue finish on the
barrel and chamber where markings were
removed, scattered minor spotting/pitting,
and light edge wear. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Scarce German DWM Model 1908 First Issue
Military Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
6012, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured on contract for the German military, this DWM
Model 1908 First Issue Military Luger was manufactured without a stock lug or
hold-open device, and managed to avoid being retrofitted for the latter during
its service life. Fixed sights, with unmarked chamber and the DWM monogram
on the front toggle. Two “crown/Gothic letter” military proofs are present on the left side of
the barrel extension, with Imperial eagle firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breech block,
and traditional “GESICHERT” and “GELADEN” markings on the upper safety position and extractor. Matching visible serial numbers on the pistol, besides the unnumbered checkered walnut grips and non-matching nickel plated aluminum bodied magazine numbered “9668” on the walnut base. CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% original blue finish with a few scattered patches of mild pitting suggestive of exposure to trench warfare, some areas of scattered light
freckling and smooth brown patina. Strong traces of original straw colors remain. Grips are very good with some handling marks and light wear.
Mechanically excellent.

Scarce German DWM Model 1920 Rework
“Su/38” Spandau Military Marked Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1930s, 9 mm Luger cal.,
4 inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips. Manufactured by DWM
for commercial sale during the inter-war Weimar era, utilizing some leftover
World War I production parts, and subsequently re-worked and re-barreled by
Spandau Arsenal for German military use. Features fixed sights, no date marking
on top of the chamber, Spandau Arsenal “Su/38” rework mark on the right of the extension,
and “DWM” monogram on the front toggle link. “crown/N” proofs marked on the extension and breech block. “Eagle/63” and “S/42” proofs on the barrel. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, takedown lever, trigger, side plate, and rear toggle. Fitted with straw colored small parts, niter blue pins, springs and screws, replacement checkered grips, and a nickel magazine with aluminum base numbered to another pistol.
CONDITION: Very fine as re-worked and re-barreled by Spandau Arsenal for German military use, retaining 85% plus blue finish and 70% straw colors, with
scattered light edge wear, faint spotting, and some
smooth brown patina on the grip frame. The grips are
fine with minor compression marks.
Mechanically excellent.

Imperial German DWM Model 1914 Military
Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster and
Extra Magazine - Serial no. 8079c, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch
round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips. Features fixed
sights, “1918” dated chamber, “crown/Gothic letter” proofs on
the right side of the extension. With matching visible serial
numbers on the frame, barrel, and extension, along with
matching “79” partials on the takedown lever, trigger, safety,
both toggle links, breech block, extractor, and sear. Fitted
with straw colored and niter blue small parts, an unnumbered
set of replacement checkered hardwood grips, and a nickel
finished magazine with hardwood base numbered to another
pistol. Includes a “SCHWARZENBERGER/& Co./NURNBERG/1918”
marked leather flap holster with extra magazine (numbered to
another pistol) and takedown tool.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% plus original blue finish
and 60% straw colors with scattered light edge
wear, and scattered minor spotting/pitting. The ill-
fitting replacement grips are very fine. Mechanically
excellent. Holster is very good with supple leather
and clear manufacturer markings.
