Desirable 1936 Dated Radom VIS-
35 “Polish Eagle” Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 4054, 9 mm cal., 4
3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic
grips. Manufactured in 1936 the VIS-35
Pistol was the standard sidearm of Poland and following the invasion
and occupation in September 1939, it became a secondary arm for the
Wehrmacht. The pre-occupation pistols show a level of fit and finish not
seen on the ones produced for the Germans, and bear the Polish Eagle on the left
side of the slide between the model, date and patent markings. Fixed sights with “F.B. RADOM/1936r.” and “VIS-wz.35/pat.Nr.15567” on the left side of the slide, numerous small proofs on both sides of the trigger guard. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, extractor and barrel. Equipped with a takedown catch and a slotted back strap for mounting a stock, both features eliminated during the occupation, and fitted with a pair of checkered grips marked “FB” and “VIS” on the left and right side, respectively. CONDITION: Very fine, with 80% plus original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, some thinning of the blue on the
gripstraps, and mild handling marks and spotting overall. The grips are excellent, with some minor dings. Mechanically excellent.

cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1944, with fixed sights, standard markings with “byf/44” code on the left of the slide, all matching visible serial numbers, “eagle/swastika”
and “eagle/WaA135” proof markings in
the appropriate places, and black plastic ribbed grips. Includes a black leather pigskin flap holster marked “CXB/4” and “P38” on the rear and an extra magazine. CONDITION: Excellent overall, nearly as issued, retains 99% original blue finish with minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. Holster is also excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

World War II German Occupation
Radom VIS-35 Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. H6565, 9 mm cal., 4
3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic
grips. Originally the main sidearm of Poland’s military, the VIS-35
was rebranded the P35(p) and pressed into service by the Germans
following their invasion and occupation of Poland. Fixed sights with
the one-line Radom model marking on the slide, “eagle/WaA77” stamps on the
slide and frame, “eagle/swastika” and “eagle/WaA623” on the slide and barrel. Matching numbers present on the frame, slide and barrel. With checkered “FB” and “VIS” grips. CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% plus original blue finish, showing bright edge and cycling wear, minor dings and light spotting. The grips are excellent, with light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Pre-War Swedish Commercial
Contract Walther Model HP Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Swedish
Unit Marked Slide - Serial no. H1339, 9 mm Luger Auto
cal., 5 inch part round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. A
scarce pre-war Swedish commercial contract Walther Mod. HP
pistol with early proofmarks and high polish blue finish. These early
Swedish contract pistols are considered the first variation M/39, second
developmental stage production pistols, with distinctive features such
as an external extractor, fat safety lever, thin rear sight and checkered takedown lever
with square firing pin. There were only approximately 1,000 pistols in this production
run, with most either destroyed or retained in Sweden. Many or all of these features were changed on later production models. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner, “Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis (Thur)/Walther’s Patent Cal. 9m/m”, and “ModHP”. The right side of the slide is Swedish unit marked “I 6 No. 63”, which corresponds to the
“6th Infantry Regiment, pistol inventory number 63.”These unit
markings were hand stamped by the Swedish Army after receipt
of the individual pistols, and are considered very scarce today
as most of these markings were removed once the pistols were
cleared for the commercial market. The right side of the slide
and barrel are “Crown/N” proofed, with the matching “1339”
serial number correctly stamped on the inside of the slide,
“H1339” on the front of the barrel and right side of the frame, and
“339/a” partial on the underside of the locking block. Fitted with
checkered black plastic HP pattern grips marked “Cewe,” 480,” “MD
with V7/Z3,” and “1” on the interior. Includes a replacement “1972” numbered blue magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original high polish blue finish with light edge wear, dried grease, plum coloration on the frame, mild thinning, and scattered minor scrapes, scratches, and handling marks. The grips are exceptionally fine with limited minor scuff and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptionally Fine Pre-World War II RZM
Marked Walther PPK Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 841690, 7.65 mm auto cal.,
3 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. The
Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) served as the quartermasters office
of the National Socialists, and later became the chief authority on
textiles in the Third Reich. Features fixed blade front and notch rear
sights, along with standard markings, “crown/N” proofs on the barrel
and slide, and the addition of the etched circular “RZM” logo on the left side of the slide between the model marking and the serrations. Fitted with serrated ring hammer, 90 degree safety, and checkered brown plastic “WALTHER” banner grips.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with light edge wear on the slide and scattered minor handling marks. The very fine grips have crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Unique Unserialized World War II German P.38 Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Mauser “byf/44” Code Slide and
Walther “ac” Code Frame - NSN, 9 mm Luger cal., 5 inch
round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. This is a unique example of an
unserialized P.38 pistol with a Mauser slide and a Walther frame. The
left of the slide is marked “P.38” followed by the Mauser “byf/44” code
and the right has an “Eagle/WaA135” and firing proof. The left of the frame
is marked with an “Eagle/359” proof followed by the Walther “ac” code. The left side of the barrel lug has an “Eagle/WaA88” proof and Spreewerke “cyq” code. There has been a small handful of similar unserialized Mauser/Walther P.38 pistols sold by Rock Island Auction Company in the past, with no current explanation as to the reasoning behind their existence other than built from ordnance replacement parts.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus original blue finish with some light handling marks and slight fading on the front grip area. Grips are also excellent with minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent.
