Upgraded Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Bolt Action Rifle in .35 Remington - Serial no. 38843, 35 Rem cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1941. Fitted with ramped, hooded, beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights. The left side of the non-factory custom made .35 Remington chambered barrel is marked with the model and caliber with the Winchester address on the right. “WP” proofs are marked on the barrel and receiver. Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Bolt Action Rifle in Rare 7mm Mauser with Bausch & Lomb Scope - Serial no. 231094, 7 mm Mauser cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1957 and chambered in 7mm Mauser which accounted for .25 percent of all pre-64 Model 70 Production. Fitted with ramped, hooded, beaded blade front and folding notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked with the
Winchester address, model, and caliber. “WP” proofs are marked on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and the serial number on the right of the receiver ring and topped off with Bausch & Lomb Balfor 8 scope. The aluminum floorplate is marked “- SUPER GRADE-”. Bolt is an unmarked replacement. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, sling eyes, hard rubber grip cap, Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine with a replacement bolt (see above), retaining 70% original blue finish with limited handling marks, scattered surface oxidation, and pitting on the floorplate. Stock is also fine with some dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Optics slightly hazy, reticle crisp. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250 LOT 3633 Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in .32 Winchester Special - Serial no. 1681, 32 W.S. cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1936 (receiver). This rifle is currently chambered in .32 Winchester Special. This caliber is not listed in Dean Whitaker’s study “THE MODEL WINCHESTER 1937-1964” thus leading one to surmise that it is purely a fantasy, although intriguing. Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel with the Winchester legend followed by “32 W.S.” on the left side and two-line address on the right side. Winchester factory style oval proof on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is tapped for scope mounting at the front and sight mounting on the left rear side. Pre-war safety, olished bolt numbered to gun, cloverleaf receiver tang and sling swivels. The straight comb pistol grip stock features checkering and is fitted with a checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally custom upgraded to current configuration/refurbished/restored. The rifle retains 98% of the refinished blue finish showing some minor high edge wear. Both oval Winchester proofs are restamped. The stock is very fine with a couple mild handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Manufactured in 1940 and subsequently refurbished/rebarreled. Fitted with a ramped, hooded, beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights. The custom made barrel is marked on the left with the Winchester address, model, and caliber marking. “WP” proofs on the chamber and receiver. The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and the serial number on the right of the receiver ring. Mounted in a multipoint checkered, straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as custom upgraded to current configuration, retaining 99% plus refinished blue finish with some handling marks, a couple spots of minor pitting under the finish, muzzle wear, and a softened receiver proof. Stock is very fine with a couple dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 4,000

The barrel is marked with the model and caliber markings on the left, and the Winchester address on the right. “WP” proofs are stamped on the left of the chamber and receiver. The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and serial number on the right of the receiver ring. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops and red rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Very fine as custom upgraded to current configuration, retaining 99% plus refinished blue with some light handling marks, minor pitting under the finish, and some slight softening of the markings.
