Rare Factory Presentation Inscribed Colt Second
Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Black
Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 36703SA, 45 LC cal.,
5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard
rubber grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver as
chambered in .45 caliber with a 5 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish,
grips not listed, and inscribed “Presented to L.C. Jacobson by Fred A. Roff. Jr., President Colt’s Patent Firearms Mfg. Co., Inc.” charged to an expense account and shipped to Jacobson at Del E. Webb Corp. in Phoenix, Arizona on June 11, 1962. Page 153 of Don Wilkerson’s “The Post-War Colt Single Action Revolver: 1955-1975” states this revolver is one of only 34 in this configuration to receive only an inscription from the factory. L.C. Jacobson worked as an executive officer, and part owner of the Del E. Webb Corporation, a construction firm in Arizona from 1946 until his retirement in 1965. During his tenure with Webb, the company would take on many famous building projects including the infamous Flamingo Hotel and the first Sun City retirement facility. Included with the revolver is the original black box containing a cleaning brush.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine. This is your chance to add a rare and desirable factory inscribed Single Action Army to your collection!

Excellent Colt Second Generation Single Action Army
Revolver with Original Black Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 28678SA,
45 Long Colt cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. The
included factory letter confirms the current configuration of 4 3/4 inch
barrel chambered for .45 caliber, with nickel finish and grips not listed when
shipped as one of two to Universal Sales of Portsmouth, Ohio on February
23, 1960. On page 50 of “Colt Single Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975”,
author Don Wilkerson notes that of all the .45 caliber Second Generation
Single Action Army revolvers produced and shipped in black boxes (found in the 1002SA-38500SA serial range), only
around 531 were manufactured with nickel finish and 4 3/4 inch barrels. Assembly number “519” is found on the
loading gate and back of the frame. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, and “678” on
the cylinder front face. Grips are un-numbered replacements. Includes original Colt box with matching serial on the
bottom in grease pen, cleaning rod, manual, and a numbers matching State of New Jersey handgun purchase permit,
dated February 3, 1995, registering the revolver to Robert J. Kaminski (1942-2011) of Gloucester City, New Jersey, who
was a former federal firearms dealer.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus slightly frosted original nickel finish with light scuffing, a faint cylinder drag line, and otherwise limited handling evidence and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is exceptionally fine with minor edge rubbing. Provenance: Robert J. Kaminski; Property of a Gentleman.

Consecutively Serialized Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolvers -A) Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver
- Serial no. 65012SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. This pair of consecutively serialized Single Action Army revolvers are fitted with blade front and frame notch sights. The barrel is marked on the left side with “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45” on the left and with the Colt address on the top. Matching serial numbers are marked on both revolvers on the frames, trigger guards, and back straps with partial serial numbers on the front cylinder faces and inside the grips. Assembly numbers are marked on the rear of the frames and inside the loading gates. Both revolvers include a correct configuration Colt Stagecoach box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks, a faint cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with some tape repairs. B) Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 65013SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. As described in “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish, minimal handling marks, an extremely faint cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with a couple tape repairs.
