M. Slatnik Signed Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Beretta S3 EELL Over/Under Shotgun Three Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 21484, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1959 with blued Accaiaio Excelsior Anticorro steel with single steel bead on the matted vent rib, chambers marked 2 3/4 inches, choke tube system, numeral “1” on the forend lug, and a band of light floral engraving at the breech. Barrels are fitted to a coin finished sidelock action which displays beautifully executed broad floral scroll engraving
with bouquet and leafy accents which cover nearly all the metal surfaces and surrounds the “P. BERETTA GARDONE. V.T./BREVETTAT” and “ARMI.P.BERETTA” markings on the underside and
gold inlaid coronet on the engraved toplever and an inlaid feather coming out of a twist on the triggerguard which shows a matching motif. The engraving is signed “INC. M. SLATNIK”. The action is fitted with a checkered single trigger and manual safety. The shotgun is mounted with a lightly figured multipoint checkered walnut forend with finger divots, engraved fittings, and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and Decelerator recoil pad. Includes a takedown case for the set containing two extra barrel sets, one thirty inch set with 2 3/4 inch chambers and one twenty-eight inch set with 2 3/4 inch chambers marked “2” and “3”. constriction .022/.032 inches; minimum wall thickness .027/.018 inches. Wood is very fine as well with some dings and scratches, lifting at the top of the left lock, and overall crisp

Mounted in a nicely figured and contrasted multipoint checkered walnut beavertail forend with engraved fittings and Deeley release and pistol grip buttstock with Perazzi recoil pad. Includes a Perazzi takedown case . Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4 mm (.724 inches) and measured at .727/.728 inches; choke constriction .028/.038 inches; minimum wall thickness .031/.034 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 1 11/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 1 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, some light spotting on the left side of the upper chamber, minor loss of definition in the gold inlay, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with very limited handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Factory Engraved Beretta Vandalia Special Trap Single Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. MM009, 12 gauge, 34 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Offered here is an example of one of Beretta’s rarest and
most exclusive shotguns. First debuted at The Grand American in Vandalia, Ohio, the Superbowl of trap shooting, the Vandalia was built to be a limited edition to
commemorate the competition which drew hundreds of shooters to the town. Blued steel barrel with single white bead sight on the step-up matted ventilated rib, hand cut
markings, a band of light engraving at the front of the chamber and breech, chamber marked 2 3/4 inches, and 1988 dated Italian proofs. The coin sideplate action displays magnificently understated floral scroll on the sideplates and fence with floral motifs on the crossbolt and top lever. The action is fitted with a hand checkered trigger. Mounted in a nicely figured and contrasted multipoint checkered walnut forend with Anson button release and pistol grip stock with ventilated Beretta recoil pad. Includes a leather covered takedown case with Beretta trade label containing cleaning tools and a set of screwdrivers. Barrel and stock measurements: bore measured nine inches form the breech .734 inches; choke constriction .039 inches; minimum wall thickness .042 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at the comb; 1 13/16 inch drop at the heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with minimal handling marks, crisp engraving, a patch of chipped varnish on the left side at the sideplate, and crisp forend and stock checkering.
