Very Fine Pre-World War II
Colt Ace Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 9099, 22
LR cal., 5 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1938, this is a very fine
example of a pre-World War II Colt Ace semi-automatic pistol.
The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line address and
patent dates, while the Rampant Colt is behind the serrations. The
right side of the slide has the Colt Ace and caliber markings. The serial number is on the right side of the frame while the trigger guard is marked “P/VP” and “77” on the left and right respectively. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, as well as a pair of checkered walnut grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge/ handling wear and some scattered light spotting, concentrated mostly on the grip areas. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

War I Era Colt Government

45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, antique ivory grips.
Manufactured in 1916, early in production of the commercial
Government Model and right in the middle of World War I. These
pistols represented the cutting edge of firearm technology and
were highly sought after by military personnel and civilians alike, with many being
privately purchased for use during the war. The slide on this pistol bears the two-line,
two-block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide with the Rampant
Colt behind the serrations. The right of the slide has the caliber markings. “VP” and “b”
are on the trigger guard, and “GOVERNMENT MODEL” is on the right side of the frame
over the serial number. The unmarked barrel is blued with a polished chamber hood.
The slide release, thumb safety, and wide hammer are checkered and the smooth, flat
mainspring housing has a lanyard loop at the bottom. It is fitted with a blade front and
notch rear sight, as well as a pair of smooth antique ivory grips. The two-toned magazine
has a pinned base.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina on edges, high spots, and handling areas, primarily in the form of mild holster/handling wear. The grips are also fine with an attractive lightly aged tone and a few scattered hairline age cracks. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Property of a Distinguished Southern Clergyman.

Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 395280, 25 ACP
cal., 2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1933 with standard two-line address/patent dates and Rampant Colt on the
left of the slide, matching serial number on the underside, caliber marking on the right, “W/VP” and “99” marked trigger guard, and checkered grips with Rampant Colt medallions. With a properly labeled Colt “black box” (number on underside faint, but potentially a match for this pistol) and
instruction sheet.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the original blue
finish, showing light edge wear, the start of a gray
patina on the frontstrap, and mild handling marks. Vivid case colors are present on the trigger and safeties, and the grips are excellent with minor dings. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with worn and torn edges and black ink touch- ups, and the instructions show tearing and staining. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250

Colt Camp Perry Single Shot Single Action
Target Pistol - Serial no. 1869, 22 LR cal., 8 1/4 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured from 1920 to
1941 with this example manufactured in 1935, this model
was created by modifying an Officer’s Model frame to accept
a special flat single shot “cylinder”. Colt named this model after the
site of the U.S. Target Competition held annually at Camp Perry, Ohio.
Only 2,525 Camp Perry pistols were manufactured. This example has
standard markings and features.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% of the original high polish blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily at the muzzle and on the grip straps. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering.

Excellent Colt First Series Woodsman Target Semi-Automatic Pistol with Original Box and Boxed
N-S Patent Stock Holster - Serial no. 139738, 22 LR cal., 6 5/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1940, with standard markings. Features pinned blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, serrated trigger, and a fitted with checkered walnut grips. Includes the original box, original test target, and bore brush, along with a N-S patent combination stock and leather holster with box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling evidence and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The stock holster is excellent with minor handling evidence. Both boxes are very fine with minor edge wear.
