Scarce and Desirable Colt Boa Double Action Revolver
with Case - Serial no. BOA0461, 357 magnum cal., 4 inch
vent rib bbl., blue finish, rosewood grips. Developed as a
combination of the Mark V Trooper frame and the Python
barrel, the Colt Boa was manufactured only in 1985 as a Lew Horton
Distributing limited edition, with a total run of only 1,200, with only 600
in this configuration, making it among the rarest of the production model
Colt “snake” double actions. Blade front and adjustable notch rear sight
and marked “BOA .357/.357 MAGNUM CTG.” on the left side of the barrel.
Includes a fitted hardwood display case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with
limited handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent. Case is very good.

Documented Dallas, Texas Shipped Nickel Finished and Factory Grade “D” Engraved Colt
Python Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 38000E, 357 Magnum cal., 6
inch vent rib bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured in 1977, with the included factory
letter confirming the revolver’s configuration, including a six inch barrel in .357 caliber, nickel finish,
grips not listed, and “Grade “D”” factory engravings, when shipped alone to Daves House of Guns in
Dallas, Texas, on February 25, 1977. Features an orange ramp blade front sight, adjustable notch rear
sight, and near full coverage of floral pattern scroll engraving across the frame, cylinder, and barrel.
Matching serial numbers on the frame and crane. The grip frame is marked “COLT ENG” on the left
side. Fitted with a pair of checkered hardwood grips with gold Colt medallion inserts.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original nickel plating with limited handling
evidence and crisp engravings. Mechanically excellent.
