Exceptional Factory Engraved Belgian
Browning Grade I Auto-5 Magnum Semi-
Automatic Shotgun with Box - Serial no. 9V18499, 12 gauge, 31 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1959. Blued Special Steel barrel with single bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard
markings, choke marked full, and 3 inch chamber. The barrel is fitted to the blued receiver which features classic
Grade I light scroll engraving and the “Magnum” marking on the left side. The gun is fired with a nicely figured
and multi-point checkered grooved forend and semi-pistol grip stock with Browning recoil pad. Includes the original factory box. Stock
measurements: 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and
forend. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine.

Inlaid Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Midas Grade Lightning
Superlight Superposed Shotgun - Serial no. 45786V7, 20 gauge, 26 3/8 inch
vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1967. Built with blued
Special Steel barrels featuring dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard markings, wedges scroll
engraving at the breech,”**”/”*” (modified/full) chokes, and 3 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrel is fitted to the
blued action which displays full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot background surrounding game bird scenes showing
a trio of pheasant cocks on the left, three mallards on the right, and a grouse on the underside. The birds are rendered in fine semi-relief
gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved with matching
scroll and checker board patterns, with a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. The engraving is signed “R.COENEN” on both sides
of the action at the low rear for FN factory engraver Rene Coenen. The gun is fitted with a highly figured, Midas Grade pattern multi-point
checkered Lightning forend with engraved iron and a short tang flat knob pistol grip stock with Browning recoil pad. Barrel and stock
measurements: bore diameter nine inches from the breech .621/.621 inches; choke constriction .013/.027 inches; minimum wall thickness
.040/.039 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as professionally restored, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes, minor handling evidence, a few tiny spots
of pitting at the rear of the action, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
