Factory Felix Funken Signed and Engraved Belgian Browning 20
Gauge “Pigeon” Grade II Superposed Shotgun Two Barrel Set
with Factory Letter and Case - Serial no. 8751, 20 gauge, 28 inch vent
rib bbl., blue/French grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1955.
Built with blued Special Steel barrels with single bead sight on the matted vent rib, “**”/”*” (modified/full) chokes,
and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the French grey finished action which displays
classic Pigeon Grade near full coverage floral scroll engraving surrounding scenes of pigeons in flight on the left and
right. The engraving is signed “FFUNKEN” for factory Master Engraver Felix Funken on both sides of the action at the low rear. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang
mounted manual safety/selector with gold inlaid “O”, “U”, and “S”. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved forend iron and round
knob semi-pistol grip stock with factory buttplate. Includes an extra 26 1/2 inch matching barrel set with 2 3/4 inch chambers and chokes marked improved cylinder/modified as well as a
factory takedown case that houses the entire set. The included factory letter confirms the above configuration, including the extra barrel set and case, when the gun was sold to Goodmans
of St. Louis, MO, on August 12, 1955. Barrel measurements for the extra set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .613/.614 inches; choke constriction .015/.023 inches; minimum wall
thickness .044/.042 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .614/.615 inches; choke constriction .023/.037 inches; minimum wall thickness .039/.033
inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and French grey finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is
very good and the extra barrel set is excellent.

Belgian Browning .410 Bore Superposed P4W Presentation Grade Shotgun with Box
- Serial no. P83RP1206, 410 gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured in 1978. Built with blued Special Steel barrels featuring a single nickel bead
sight on the matted vent rib, standard factory markings, a single band of light scroll engraving
at the breech, chokes marked “**”/”*” (modified/full), and 3 inch chambers with automatic
ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the blued sideplated action which displays near full coverage leafy scroll engraving surrounding detailed relief gold
inlaid game scenes and flowing onto the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs. The game scenes depict a nide of pheasants on the left sideplate, a single quail in flight
on the underside, a bust of a pointer on the trigger guard, and a flock of mallards taking to the sky on the right sideplate. The engraving is signed “R.KOWALSKI” on the left
sideplate beneath the scene for talented FN factory engraver Richard Kowalski. The gun features a single gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety/selector with gold
inlaid “S”, “O”, and “U” indicators. The gun is fitted with a gorgeous highly figured and multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved iron as well as a straight hand
stock with factory black polymer buttplate. Includes the original factory box. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .402/.404 inches;
choke constriction .009/.021 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with minimal handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good.
