Fine Early Production U.S. Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle with Bayonet - Serial no. 81938, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This is an all original, unaltered, early Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 bolt action rifle. The receiver has the standard four-line markings over the serial number and the top of the barrel is marked “R.I.A./(Ordnance shell and flame)/5-07” which corresponds to the receiver manufacture date. The barrel is fitted with the correct early ladder rear sight with dished windage and elevation knobs and a polished face graduated from 100-2,700 yards with a 2,850 yard volley notch. It has the standard blade front sight. It has its original Rock Island Arsenal manufactured straight handled bolt with a small gas hole, that is correctly stamped “18” on the right of the safety lug. The safety and cutoff levers are correctly color-casehardened. It is fitted with a correct and desirable early flat top handguard, beautiful early straight grip finger groove walnut stock with a large “S” stamped on the tip of the forend, no reinforcing bolts, a crisp boxed script “C.N./1908” (Conrad Nelson) inspection cartouche marked on the left of the wrist, and a small “L” sub-inspector proof behind the triggerguard followed by a crisp circled script “P” firing proof. The buttstock is fitted with a smooth blued steel buttplate with compartment. It has the Rock Island Arsenal high polish rust blued finish on the various components and the unique Rock Island Arsenal deep oil quenched blackish finish on the receiver (very different from the finish found on Springfield model 1903 rifles and very fragile). The buttstock and handguard have the hand rubbed linseed oil finish. Includes a “ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1907” marked M1907 leather sling, “R.I.A./(Ordnance shell and flame)/1906” marked M1905 bayonet, and “R.I.A./1907./H.E.K.” marked leather scabbard. CONDITION: Fine, retains 40% original blue finish on the metal components, strongest on the barrel, barrel bands and rear sight with the balance turned to a smooth gray patina with strong traces of original blue finish on the floorplate, and sharp markings in the metal overall. Stock is excellent with crisp grasping grooves, defined edges, rich oil finish, some light scratches and handling marks, and a crisp cartouche and proof. Mechanically excellent. Included bayonet is very fine with sharp edges, some scattered light surface pitting, and defined edges and rich oil finish on the walnut handle. Scabbard and sling are both fine with some light edge wear. This early Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 rifle would make a fine addition to any U.S. Military or Model 1903 rifle collection! Exceptional World War II U.S. Underwood M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine - Serial no. 2779937, 30 Carbine cal., 18 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. “U” marked blade front and “S” marked Type I two-position flip rear sight, Underwood barrel dated “11-43”, type I barrel band, unmarked push button safety, “U” magazine catch, “U” magazine, stamped “2” marked trigger guard with Ordnance bomb marked underneath the trigger guard, “U” hammer, “U” blued finish flat bolt, and “U” slide. “P-U” two-rivet handguard, high wood stock with boxed “G.H.D./U.E.F.” inspection cartouche (faint) and crossed Ordnance cannons marked on the right of the buttstock, and a steel buttplate. Includes an olive drab green canvas sling.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus original parkerized finish with some areas of light thinning, scattered patches of light freckling, and sharp markings in the metal. 95% original blue finish remains on both the bolt and magazine. Stock is very fine with some light scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional U.S. Springfield Model 1903A1 National Match Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 1516909, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Standard receiver markings over the serial number “1516909”. The barrel is marked “SA/(Ordnance shell and flame)/3-38” with the small star-gauge marking on the muzzle crown. The barrel is fitted with the standard blade front sight and the folding ladder rear sight. It has a matching electro-stencil serial numbered “N.S.” marked bright polished bolt. It is fitted with a standard two-bolt walnut pistol grip type stock. Boxed “S.A./S.P.G.” inspection cartouche marked on the left wrist of the stock with a single circled “P” proof on the underside above the pistol grip. The lower rear underside area of the buttstock is stamped with the drawing number “D1836” ahead of the matching serial number in front the sling swivel. Drawing number “D28179” marked on top of the handguard. It has the standard all milled components, with a heavily checkered NM type steel buttplate. Receiver
mounted with a Lyman peep sight. Includes a “B.T.& B. CO.” M1907 leather sling and brass P.J. O’Hare muzzle cover. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus original parkerized finish with light handling marks and some light edge wear. The bright bolt has some light pitting visible on the handle. Stock is very fine with some light handling marks and scratches, a few hairline cracks visible on the left of the wrist behind the receiver and trigger guard, and a clear cartouche. LOT 450 World War II U.S. Standard Products M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine - Serial no. 2176742, 30 Carbine cal., 18 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. This is an original configuration World War II M1 Carbine manufactured by Standard Products. “N” marked blade front sight and “S” marked two-leaf rear sight, with a correct undated Marlin barrel, Type I barrel band, “STANDARD/PRODUCTS” heel plate, “40S” blued finish flat top bolt, “102” operating rod, “ST” stamped trigger guard, “SW” hammer, unmarked push button safety and “SW” magazine catch. Smooth low wood stock with 2-rivet “S-HB” marked handguard, “S-HB” marked in the sling inlet, oval oiler cut, crossed Ordnance cannons cartouche marked on right of the stock, and a checkered buttplate. Includes an olive drab green canvas sling, 1943 dated Avery “U.S.” canvas double magazine pouch, and two extra magazines (“U” and “SS” marked). CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains 90% original parkerized finish with some light cycling wear, some areas of light to moderate freckling, and sharp markings in the metal. 80% original blue finish remains
on the bolt. Stock is fine with defined edges, some light scratches and dents, a threaded empty sling swivel hole below the forend and on the belly of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
