Exceptional World War II U.S.
Remington-Rand Model 1911A1 Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1759298, 45
ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1944. The left of the slide has the two-line Remington-Rand address, “P” proof on top, and the frame is
marked with the standard U.S. property and army nomenclature
on the right with the serial number, while the left has an “FJA” inspection mark and “P” proof. Fitted with blade and notch sights, checkered narrow hammer, long grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing, full blue barrel with “P” and “HS” lug, reinforced grips, and blued “L” magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98%
plus of the original parkerized finish
with a few scattered light handling
marks and some very light edge
wear. The grips are also excellent
with a few scattered light blemishes
and otherwise crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Excellent World War II U.S. Property Marked
High Standard U.S.A. Model H-D Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Factory Box - Serial no.
125638, 22 LR cal., 4 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish,
hard rubber grips. Manufactured from 1943-1945
with fixed blade and notch sights, “PROPERTY OF
U.S.A.” on top of the barrel, and “PROPERTY OF/U.S.”
on the right side of the frame. Standard address,
caliber, and model markings on the left side of the frame and slide with a serrated trigger and checkered exposed hammer. Includes a correct factory box hand numbered to the gun, instructions, instruction tag, an extra magazine, and oil bottle.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish with some light muzzle wear and some scattered light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light blemishes and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear, mostly on edges and corners.

World War II U.S. Inspected Colt Service
Model Ace Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. SM2391, 22 LR cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1941,
right at the start of U.S. involvement in World
War II. The left side of the slide is marked with
the standard two-line address and patent dates, followed by the Rampant Colt, and the right side has the standard Service Model Ace and caliber markings. The right side of the frame has the serial number and “60” on the trigger guard. The left side of the frame has a boxed “R.S.” inspection mark and “T/VP” on the
trigger guard. The barrel is unmarked and has a polished chamber. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, short checkered trigger, checkered arched mainspring housing, wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, checkered walnut grips,
and a full blue magazine with Colt Service Model Ace
markings on the base.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish
with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina,
primarily on the leading edge of the slide and the front grip strap which has the appearance of mild cleaning. The replacement grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Steven Preston Military Collection.

World War II U.S. Inspected Colt
Woodsman Match Target Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. MT11865, 22 LR cal., 6 5/8 inch slab sided
bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1941 with U.S. ordnance
crossed cannon stamp on the left and “G.H.D.” inspection mark on the right. The left
side of the barrel has the standard “MATCH/bullseye/TARGET” marking, “THE
WOODSMAN” on the left of the frame, and standard Colt and caliber markings
on the left of the slide. The left of the trigger guard is marked “e/VP” and “23” is
on the right. Fitted with a pinned blade front sight, adjustable notch rear sight,
checkered plastic extended grips with Rampant Colts, and a two-tone magazine
with correctly marked base.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some
light muzzle/edge wear, and some light handling marks on the grip straps. The
grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Steven Preston Military Collection.

World War II U.S. Union Switch & Signal
Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. 1054618, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl.,
parkerized finish, plastic grips. In May of 1942
the U.S. government initially placed an order with Union Switch & Signal Co. for
200,000 Model 1911A1 pistols, an order which was later revised to 55,000 pistols.
This pistol was likely manufactured early to mid-1943. The slide is marked with the
“USS” monogram and “U.S. & S. Co./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.” on the left side, with a Robert
Downie “R.C.D.” on the left of the frame, and standard U.S. government nomenclature on the right. It
is fitted with blade and notch sights, thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop, reinforced checkered grips, full blue “L” marked magazine and a replacement full blue barrel marked “G” on the bottom, “COLT 45 AUTO” on the bottom left, and “P” on the lug.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% plus of the much faded original parkerized finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily
on edges and the grip straps, and a light takedown
mark. The grips are very good with a few minor flat
spots and blemishes, and otherwise crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.
