Serial no. 2070.48., 12 gauge, 28 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the matted, concave solid rib barrel, dual bands of engraving at either breech, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, choke constrictions of .009/.032 inches, and Ferlach proofs with “26/297” on the right barrel possibly identifying maker Jakob Koschat. The casehardened, scalloped boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving surrounding three game scenes, a trio of pheasants on the left, a pair

Engraved James Purdey & Sons 16 Gauge Assisted-Opening Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 11223, 16 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued replacement steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth, concave solid rib, chambers proved at 2 1/2 inches with single extractor, and 1963 Birmingham nitro proof marks. The bright polished, assisted-opening sidelock
action displays attractive classic rose and scroll engraving and fluer-de-lis carved fences, the
front trigger is articulated. The engraving continues on the trigger guard, tangs, and toplever. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Anson button release and straight grip stock with blank silver inscription oval and rubber Kick-Eez recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case with Purdey trade label and nickel oiler. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at .662 inches and measured at .666/.665 inches; choke constriction.008/.026 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.028 inches; 1
3/4 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 15 oz. CONDITION: Good, retaining 98% reapplied blue, bright polished action and locks, and engraving softened and worn on fences. The refinished wood is good with a few dings and scratches, minor chipping at the forend shoe, and crisp checkering. The case is good with moderate wear. Mechanically very good.

Double Barrel Ejector Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 78835, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl.,
blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with
matted solid rib which is marked “W.W.GREENER. LONDON AND BIRMINGHAM. ENGLAND.” as well as with an engraved pigeon, light scroll engraving at either breech, Birmingham proofs applied in 1961, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The casehardened boxlock action displays extensive floral scroll engraving surrounding “W.W.GREENER.” in banners on either side, The gun features double
triggers and an automatic tang mounted safety switch. Lightly figured multi-point checkered splinter forend with horn tip inlay, engraved fittings, and a Deeley latch release as well as the round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and orange rubber recoil pad. Includes a canvas bound takedown case with Greener trade label and a nickel oiler. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at .729 inches and both measured .734 inches; choke constriction .009/.008 inches:
minimum wall thickness .026/.025 inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 15 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 11 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence. There is a small chip from the left of the forend at the shoe, a short stress crack at the upper tang, and a few cracks in the recoil pad spacer, otherwise, the refinished wood is very fine with sharp checkering. The case is very good with wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000

CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish, 40% original case colors, and light handling evidence. The wood has been refinished and is also very fine with a few
scattered dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 3,500
