Early Factory Engraved Perazzi DHO Sidelock Double Barrel Ejector Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 5111, 12 gauge, 27 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/bright finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1963, early in Perazzi’s history, and during the partnership between Daniele Perazzi and Ivo Fabbri. Guns built during this partnership, such as this one, are very desirable as it was short lived before Fabbri left to create some of the world’s finest guns with his own company. Blued Bohler Demibloc barrels with single steel bead front sight on the matted, concave solid rib, left barrel marked “PER L ARMERIA SONCINI-MILANO-”, standard Italian proofs, single bands of engraving at either breech, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The bright finished sidelock action displays deep relief cut floral scroll engraving on the fences, receiver and trigger plate with floral borders around the perimeter of the lockplates. The underside is marked with the “-ARMI-PERAZZI-/-BRESCIA-” marking, and the toplever is skeletonized with beautiful floral designs. The gun features a single trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Gorgeous, highly figured, exhibition quality, multi-point checkered semi-beavertail forend with engraved fittings, Anson button release, and an intricate inlaid coronet with banners marked “IMPERIALE LUSSO” along with the pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell and checkered bare butt. Includes a canvas and leather takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both measured .731 inches; choke constriction .009/.020 inches; minimum wall thickness .028/.019 inches; 1 1/4 inch drop at comb; 1 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with some minor spotting toward the muzzles, overall bright finish on the action, and some minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with some minor scratches and dings and sharp checkering. The case is very fine with light wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 27,500 - 42,500
