Fine Silver Inlaid German J. Ernst Fiedler
Flintlock “Wender” Swivel Breech Combination Gun - NSN, 58 cal., 31 1/8 inch
part octagon and octagon bbl., blue/casehardened/silver finish, walnut stock. J. Ernst Fielder was
active in Ulm around 1760 per “Der Neue Stockel.” This combination gun has an octagonal barrel with
seven-groove rifling and blade and notch sights and a part octagon, part round barrel with a smoothbore and
silver spider blade front sight. Both barrels are signed “J. ERNST FIELDER IN ULM” in silver inlay with some accents. The
various components have some simple engraving. The gun is equipped with adjustable double set triggers. The forend panels
have some light carving, and the buttstock has a checkered wrist and large cheekpiece.
CONDITION: Fine as reconverted to flintlock configuration with aged patina on the silver, traces of finish blended with gray patina, aged patina on the brass, and general mild overall wear. The refinished wood is also fine and has some cracks and repairs, legible but worn checkering and carving, and minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

Engraved German Ball Reservoir Air Gun Signed Reissmuller - NSN, 43 , 34 5/8 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened/brass finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured early 18th century. The lock has floral engraving, a bestial head on the hammer, and “REISSMULLER” signed at the center. It has brass furniture, including a Hessian jaeger rifle style trigger guard. The stock has a horn forend tip, molding, nicely shaped flats, floral
scroll carving, and a long cheekpiece.
CONDITION: Fine with traces of original blue and casehardened finish mixed with dark patina and mild oxidation along the barrel, silver-gray patina on the lock, aged patina on the brass and reservoir, mild dents and scratches on the reservoir, and general mild wear. The stock is also
fine and has a crack and some chipping by the lock, distinct carving, some scratches and dings, and mild wear overall. Not mechanically tested. Estimate: 5,500 - 7,500
