The casehardened action displays fine leafy
scroll engraving surrounding a trio of highly
detailed, raised relief gold inlaid big game
busts, including a white-tailed deer on the left,
a pronghorn on the underside, and a bighorn ram on the right. The
rifle features a single trigger and a tang mounted manual safety/
selector switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered three-piece
forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with teardrop
carved flats and a checkered bare butt. Includes an extra matching numbered set of 28 inch 20 gauge barrels featuring 3 inch chambers with ejectors and chokes measured modified/full. Also includes a canvas bound takedown case that houses the set. Length of pull 14 3/4 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 6 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall as upgraded by Francotte, retaining 99% partially refurbished (forend latch) blue and original case colored finishes with minor handling evidence, a few small dings and scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The extra barrels are also excellent. The case is very good. Mechanically excellent.
