Factory Engraved Von Lengerke & Detmold Retailed Auguste Francotte Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 19930, 12 gauge, 29 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Blued Damascus steel barrels
with a single nickel bead sight on the matted solid rib which is marked “VON
LENGERKE & DETMOLD NEW YORK U.S. AGENTS” and has a single gold inlaid bar,
2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions of .033/.034 inches. The casehardened sideclipped sideplated boxlock action displays nicely carved fences and attractive scroll engraving and features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with checkered horn buttplate. Includes a modern oak and leather takedown case with reproduction trade label. Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 13 15/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine, showing an attractive mix of brown and grey patina on the barrels, 30% case colors on the action, 70% blue on the triggerguard, toplever, and action floorplate, mild handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. Harrington & Richardson Retailed Webley & Scott 20 Gauge Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 720122, 20 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued barrels with single bead sight on the matted solid rib, “MADE BY WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD. BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND.” and “MADE FOR HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON INC. USA.” marked on the right and left barrels respectively, 1972 dated Birmingham proofs, chokes marked “1/4”/”3/4” (improved cylinder/improved modified), and 3 inch chambers with ejectors. The casehardened boxlock action shows scroll engraving with Webley & Scott signed on both side and features double
triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered
forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and checkered bare butt. Includes a wood
and canvas takedown case, nickel oiler, and two snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at
heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 11 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Factory Engraved Von Lengerke & Detmold Retailer Marked A. Francotte Model 30E Side by Side Shotgun - Serial no. 32197, 12 gauge, 29 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blue, Siemen’s Martin steel, dovetail lump barrels marked “VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD/U.S. AGENTS. NEW-YORK”, chambers proofed and measured at 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors, gold inlaid band at the rear of the rib, standard Belgian reproofs on the flats, chokes reproofed at full/full and measuring modified/improved modified. Casehardened box lock action with side plates, side clips, doll’s head rib extension with third fastener, and relief carved fences. The receiver and locks have full coverage, exceptionally well detailed floral blossom and scroll engraving with detailed game bird scenes of pigeons on the right, ducks on the left, and geese on the underside. The trigger guard is engraved
to match with a small pigeon scene. With dual triggers and manual sliding tang safety, and gold inlaid “S” marking. Nicely figured walnut, checkered pistol grip stock with
splinter forearm Anson style push button latch, engraved fittings, and solid rubber recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements are (R/L): bore diameter at 9 inches from breech reproofed at “18.5/18.6” (.728/.732) and measured at .733/.737; chokes reproofed at “17.7/17.7” (.697) and measured at .024/.020; minimum wall thickness .026/.027; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 5/8 inches; length
of pull 14 5/8 inches; weight 7 lbs. 2 oz. Included with an unmarked takedown canvas case with leather straps. CONDITION: Very fine with 99% professionally refinished blue, possibly by the factory, and a few light handling marks on the barrels with bores modified as described. The receiver and locks have 50% original muted case colors with crisp detailed engraving, some wear on the trigger guard tang, and an attractive gray patina on the balance. The refinished wood is very fine with attractive dark figure, crisp freshened checkering, and freshened oil finish. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

Factory Game Scene Engraved W. & C. Scott & Son Hammerless Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 43878, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
walnut stock. Manufactured in 1888 per Nigel Brown’s
“British Gunmakers Volume Two: Birmingham, Scotland, and the Regions”. Blued steel barrels with a single brass bead sight on the matted flat solid rib which is marked “W. & C. SCOTT & SON LEVER LOCK GRIP. MAKERS AND PATENTEES. LONDON” along with attractive scroll engraving near the breech
end, and chambers marked 2 3/4” with single extractor. Later Belgian proofs applied to the barrel flats and the water table with Birmingham proofs mostly removed. The casehardened Block Safety Hammerless sidelock action displays scroll and bird scenes and features gas checked firing pins, double triggers, crystal cocking indicators, and automatic tang safety. Nicely figured multi-point checkered forend and round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and horn buttplate. Includes a period wood and leather takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 13/16 inch drop at comb; 2 13/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% reapplied blue finish and 60% original case colors with light handling evidence. The wood has some minor chipping at the lock inlets and a small crack at the left rear of the forend, otherwise it
is very fine with a few marks and well-defined checkering. Case is good with moderate wear. Mechanically excellent. 353 Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
