Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning Presentation Grade Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. P13RN1249, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/ gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1979. Blued Special Steel barrels with a single nickel bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard factory markings, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked “**”/”*” (modified/ full). The blued action displays highly attractive factory Presentation P-1 Grade style engraving with more extensive gold inlay work. The engraving consists of leafy scrollwork interspersed with gold inlaid line work surrounding a pair
of mallards in flight on the left, a solitary pintail duck in flight on the underside, and a pair of flying pintail ducks on the right side, all of which are rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlays. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector with gold “U”, “O”, and “S” markings. Beautiful, highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with fancy checkering and Browning buttplate. Includes a Browning leatherette takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .726/.724 inches; choke constriction .018/.038 inches; minimum wall thickness .038/.036 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, slight rubbing ahead of the forend on the lower barrel, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
