LOT 3502 Factory Engraved Colt-Sauer Model 3000 Drilling - Serial no. GG7335, 12/243 Win gauge, 25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1976. Blade front and fixed notch rear sights on the matte rib, standard maker and model markings, 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor, light engraving around the breech, and modified/full marked chokes. Coin gray receiver is engraved with forested game scenes on either side showing a running stag on the left and a roaring stag on the right, and features a cross bolt, cocking indicators, dual triggers, tang mounted selector switch, and Greener style side safety. Checkered beavertail forearm with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with ventilated recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches. Weight 8 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. Factory Game Scene Engraved Franz Sodia Sideplated Drilling with Case - Serial no. 10036, 12/30-06 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler Spezial steel barrels with beaded blade front and automatic pop-up rear peep sights on the matted solid rib which is marked “FRANZ SODIA, FERLACH”, 1960 dated proofs, light engraving at either breech, choke constrictions of (R/L) .010/.021 inches, and 70mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers with extractors. The coin finished sideclipped, bolstered, and sideplated action displays attractive scroll engraving surrounding three game scenes showing a red stag and a pair of
hinds in a forest scene on the left, four mallards in a pond scene on the right, and a running hare on the underside. The engraving extends to
the tangs, top lever, and triggerguard which is silver inlaid with a fine “RJB” monogram. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with black grip cap, raised cheekpiece, engraved cartridge trapdoor, and Decelerator recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case with Franz Sodia label, three snap caps and cleaning rod. Stock
measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue and 99% original coin finishes, some thinning to grey on the triggerguard, and some areas of tiny spotting. The wood shows some chipping
at the rear of the sideplates and a pair of hairline stress cracks on the left off the sideplate, otherwise fine with light handling marks and sharp checkering. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Factory Game Scene Engraved August Wolf Double Barrel Cape Gun with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. 18334, 12x7x57R gauge, 25 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with beaded blade front and fixed rear sights on the matted solid rib which also hosts the German claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6x42 scope, 1991 dated German proofs, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and choke constriction of .043 inches, light engraving at either breech, and “A. W. WOLF SUHL” marked on the left barrel. The coin finished scalloped action displays a red stag and two hinds on the left and a pointer and mallards on the right and features double triggers and a manual tang safety. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with horn
grip cap, shadow line cheekpiece, and brown rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 9/16 inches. Weight 9 lbs 2 oz (scope included). CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, minor areas of discoloration in the coin, some minor handling evidence mostly on the stock, a surface chip on the grip cap, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. LOT 3505 Factory Game Scene Engraved Gebruder Merkel Drilling - Serial no. 255087, 12/6.5 X 57R gauge, 24 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Special Gewehr Laufstahl barrels with beaded blade front and flip up rear sights on the matted solid rib which also hosts a set of German style claw scope mounts, 1983 dated German proofs, dual bands of engraving at the upper breeches, choke constrictions of .035/.043 inches, and 2 3/4 inch shotgun chambers with extractors. The coin finished action displays a running roe buck on the left and a pair of mallards in flight on the right with balance showing scroll and geometric patterns. The gun features double triggers, cocking indicators, a Greener style safety, and tang mounted selector. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with black grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and brown rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 13 13/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs 12 oz.

Factory Engraved J. P. Sauer & Sohn Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 400447, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Single brass bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “J. P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL GERMANY”, 1951 dated German proofs, dual bands of engraving at either breech, choke constrictions of .022/.037 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened, sideclipped, scalloped action displays light scroll engraving with “J. P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL” in arches on either side. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fitting and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and serrated buttplate. Includes a leather bound takedown case with “J.H.P.” initials on the lid, cleaning rod, and a pair of snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 10 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and 99% original casehardened finishes with a few scratches on the right barrel. The forend has a small chip at the front right, otherwise the wood is fine with light handling evidence and mostly sharp checkering. The case is good with deteriorating interior.
