Stunning Factory Signed Master Game Scene Engraved Benelli 20 Gauge Semi-Automatic Shotgun - Serial no.
B11180, 20 gauge, 25 1/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue/brushed bright finish, walnut stock. Built with a blued steel barrel featuring a
single bead sight on the matted flat vent rib, standard factory markings, 1987 dated Italian proof marks, a 2 3/4 inch chambers,
and choke marked modified. The barrel is fitted to the masterfully engraved brushed bright and blue finished action with import
mark. The engraving consists of extensive near full coverage relief cut floral scroll engraving over a matted background creating a
fantastic contrast and surrounding two gorgeous bank note engraved game scenes. The left side of the action shows a pointer flushing a
pair of quail from cover in a wooded mountain scene with a spaniel flushing a pair of hares from the long grass on the right side. The engraving
is signed on the left side beneath the scene with a signature that isn’t positively identified, but resembles examples seen on works done by Master
Engraver Angelo Galeazzi. The gun is mated to a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend and a pistol grip stock with a right hand palm swell and a
black rubber recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue finish, 99% original brushed bright finish, some minor spotting on the right of the barrel and rib, light
handling evidence, and crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
