Thompson Center Arms Super 14 Contender Single Shot Pistol
Presented to General H. Norman Schwarzkopf - Serial no. S28013,
45 Colt/410 cal., 14 inch vent rib bbl., stainless finish, rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1995. Features steel bead front and notch rear sights, standard
markings, “GENERAL H NORMAN SCHWARZKOPF - TOP GUN SPORTING CLAYS
1995” on the right side, and factory polymer forend and rubber grip. This gun was
presented to renowned General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, who led the Coalition forces in the
liberation of Kuwait during the Gulf War in 1991. Includes a letter signed by Cynthia Schwarzkopf,
on Schwarzkopf Family
letterhead, certifying
this pistol by serial
number as being
the former property of her father, General H. Norman Schwarzkopf. Consecutively serialized with an identical
Thompson Center Super 14 Contender pistol also from the collection of General Schwarzkopf in the following lot.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, with a few minor handling marks and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.

Highly Attractive Relief Engraved German “1917” Date DWM
Model 1914 Artillery Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Ivory Grips
- Serial no. 4933l, 9 mm Luger cal., 7 7/8 inch round bbl., coin/straw finish,
ivory grips. Manufactured c. 1917 and subsequently elaborately embellished c.
1980 according to the consignor. Features a fixed blade front sight and adjustable tangent
rear sight (graduated from 100 to 800 meters), the “1917” date on top of the barrel extension,
the “DWM” manufacturer monogram on the toggle link, “crown/Gothic letter” military proofs
on the left of the extension, imperial firing proofs retained on the barrel, barrel extension, and
breech block, along with extensive and deep floral scroll pattern relief engravings with subdued
backdrops and floral bordering covering roughly 90% of the frame, barrel, barrel extension, and
toggle assembly. The engraved patterns are
continued on a few small parts,
including the toggle, side
plate, magazine release, and
grip screws, with the controls
and ejector finished in straw
colors. Matching full military
pattern serial numbers on the frame,
barrel, and barrel extension, along with matching visible “33” partial serial numbers visible on small
parts. Fitted with a pair of attractive smooth ivory grips and a nickel plated magazine with matching numbered
walnut base.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as elaborately embellished, retaining 99% grey coin finish and straw colors with
limited minor pitting, a few handling marks, and crisp engraving. The grips are also excellent with attractive grain
patterning. Mechanically functions.

with Shoulder Stock

9 mm Luger cal., 16 3/8
inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1941, subsequently upgraded
into carbine configuration by John Martz in a fashion similar to the DWM
Model 1902 Luger carbines. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights
mounted to the replacement 16 3/8 inch long barrel, a filler block inserted
into the original rear sight dovetail on the slide, the Walther “P.38” model and
“ac/41” code markings retained on the left of the slide, an “eagle/WaA135”
proof retained on the left of the frame, the rear grip strap modified with slot for the shoulder stock lug, along
with straw colored small parts. Matching visible “1774v” serial number on the left of the frame and slide, with
John Martz’s “JVM” initials and “circled 11” marked under the takedown lever. Fitted with a multi-point checkered
Schnabel tip walnut forend, a pair of custom checkered walnut grips, and a multi-point checkered walnut
shoulder stock with smooth butt without a number on the iron.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as professionally upgraded by John Martz, retaining 95% blue finish and straw
colors with some thinning on the straw colored parts and slotted back strap, some plum coloration to the frame,
limited minor handling marks, and clear markings. The wood is also excellent with crisp checkering and attractive
grain figuring. Mechanically functions.
