1913 Dated U.S. Rock Island
Arsenal Model 1903 Bolt Action
Rifle - Serial no. 235849, 30-06 Springfield
cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1913. The top of
the barrel is stamped “R.I.A.” above the Ordnance bomb insignia and “7-13” date, with “C 88/P” steel
lot code on the underside of the barrel, steel lot code “C13” on the front surface of the rear bolt lug, modified blade
front sight fitted with a hood, early type rear sight with dished windage and elevation knobs and a polished face with a 2,850 yard
volley notch, straight grip “S” pattern walnut stock with a large “S” stamped on the tip, one reinforcing bolt, boxed script “C.N./1913” (Conrad Nelson)
inspection cartouche stamped on the left of the wrist, small “S” sub-inspector proof behind the trigger guard followed by a script “P” firing proof, fitted with a checkered
steel buttplate. Includes a B.T. & B. Co. M1907 leather sling, and an oiler inside the butt compartment.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% original blue finish with smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, and draw filing marks visible around on the front sight. Stock is very good with some scattered light scratches and dents, a
repaired cracked section visible on top of the wrist behind the receiver, and defined edges. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent and Scarce World War II U.S.
Remington Model 11 Aerial Training Semi-Automatic Shotgun - Serial no. 703948, 12 gauge,
26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1943. These Model 11 aerial combat
training shotguns with the Cutts compensator were designed for skeet
shooting use by the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II to teach
the art of the proper “lead” for aerial gunnery. The factory barrel assembly is non-matching numbered
“710079” on the bottom, with “ANN” March 1944 date code on the left breech area, and was likely factory
assembled this way during the war, as Remington was utilizing commercial shotguns out of their inventory to fulfill government needs. “U.S.”
and flaming bomb proofs on both the barrel and receiver. “MILITARY FINISH” marked receiver. With a single nickel bead sight and 2
3/4 inch chamber. The aerial barrel is also without choke markings which is correct. Length of pull is 14 inches. Sticker on left side of
buttstock marked “PENNA. STATE POLICE/PROPERTY TICKET NO./028494”.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish with some minor scratches, a few patches of surface freckling, and sharp
markings and edges in the metal. Wood is very fine, with distinct edges, a minor chip on the edge of the pistol grip area, handling
marks, and exceptionally crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent.

Armory M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 377825, 30-06 Springfield
cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in November 1941,
subsequently transferred to Britain as a part of the Lend-Lease Act. Features a winged blade front sight
with retained screw cap, “flush nut” pattern adjustable peep rear sight assembly, “7” marked U.S. Springfield Armory pattern
narrow-base gas cylinder, chamfered gas cylinder lock, single-slot gas plug, arched profile lower band with solid retaining pin, single-groove milled rear
handguard clip, “S-A-10-41” barrel with British proofs and partially finished chamber ring, uncut “3 SA” operating rod, “-2SA/RE4D” bolt, “8” follower, short fork follower rod, and “-5-SA” trigger housing
with “-2 SA” hammer, “-6SA” safety, and “-3-SA” marked milled trigger guard. Fitted with a set of walnut handguards and a walnut stock bearing a boxed “S.A./G.H.S.” (U.S. Springfield Armory, Col. Gilbert H. Stewart) inspection
cartouche and “ordnance wheel” acceptance stamp on the left of the wrist, along with a circled serif “P” firing proof on the grip. Includes a M1 pattern web sling, oiler and combination tool in the butt compartment.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 95% original parkerized finish with thinning on the gas cylinder assembly, minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, dried grease, some minor patches of brown patina/freckling, minor handling
marks, and clear markings. The stock is very fine, correctly with some traces of red paint in the grain, light compression marks, crisp stamps, and attractive raised grain. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional World War II U.S. Underwood M1
Semi-Automatic Carbine - Serial no. 4065857, 30
M1 Carbine cal., 18 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Manufactured
c. 1942-1944, with a fixed blade front sight on the Underwood “3-44” barrel, “S” marked two-
leaf rear sight, and a type I barrel band. Components include a stamped “*U*” trigger housing,
“*U*” hammer, smooth pushbutton safety, “AU” magazine catch, “*U*” operating rod, and a “*U*” flat
top bolt. Fitted with a two-rivet handguard, correct low wood pistol grip
stock stamped with a boxed “G.H.D./U.E.F.” cartouche on the right side and “TRIMBLE/TN” inside the sling
cut, checkered steel buttplate, and a green canvas sling and oiler.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% plus original parkerized finish, slide retraction wear and minor handling
marks overall. The stock is very fine, with some chipping around the recoil plate and pistol grip, as well as
some minor scattered dings overall. Mechanically excellent. A truly exceptional example of a
World War II carbine!
