Excellent Scarce DWM 1906
Commercial Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 66244, 7.65 mm Luger
Auto cal., 4 5/8 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. This is a very nice example of 1
of the approximately 5,000 DWM 1906 Lugers
in 7.65mm, manufactured for commercial sales. The toggle is
marked with the “DWM” logo. There is a “crown/N” proofmark on
the left side of the barrel extension, breechblock and front toggle.
The matching serial number is marked on the front of the frame and on
the underside of the barrel. Partial serial number “44” on the takedown
lever (faint), side plate and below the rear sight. The lower safety position is correctly unmarked and bright. All blue finish with straw colored small parts, grip safety, unmarked nickel magazine with wooden base and fitted with checkered walnut grips.
CONDITION:
Excellent. The pistol
retains 95% plus
faded original finish
with some minor
spotting on the left
side of he barrel,
high edge wear and
some thinning on
the grip safety and
back strap. 40% of the straw color remains on the small parts with the most noticeable loss on the takedown and safety levers. The grips are very fine with a few minor dings and bruises in the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.

DWM 1915 Dated Military Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol Rig with Matching Magazine, Extra Magazine and 1916 Dated Holster - Serial
no. 1126A, 9 mm cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Fixed sights, with “1915” on
the chamber and “DWM” on
the toggle link. Three “Crown/
Letter” proofs are present on
the right side of the barrel
extension with Imperial Eagle
firing proofs on the extension,
barrel and breechblock, proper
“GESICHERT” and “GELADEN”
markings on the upper safety
position and extractor respectively,
straw finished small parts, checkered
grips and nickel finished magazine
with a hardwood base. Numbers are
matching overall, including inside the
grips and on the magazine base. With
a brown leather flap holster marked
“F.DELACROIXNACHE/BERLIN/1916” and
“BAXVII” inside the flap, an extra mixed
numbered magazine, and an Imperial
proofed takedown tool numbered “4131”.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus of
the original blue finish, showing a brown
patina on the barrel, mild scratches and spotting on the frame, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. 95% plus bright original straw color is present. The grips are excellent, with crisp checkering, and the holster is good with mild scuffs and cracks. Mechanically excellent.

Erfurt 1913 Dated Military Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 9184A, 9 mm cal., 4
inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Fixed
sights, with “1913” on the extension, “crown/ERFURT”
on the front toggle link, and Imperial German proofs
overall. Fine straw finish is present on the small parts, with niter blue
pins and screws, checkered grips, and a nickel finished magazine with a
hardwood base. The numbers have been removed from the magazine base, otherwise matching numbers are present overall, including on the insides of
the grip panels.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, and mild spotting and handling marks. 60% of the bright original straw color remains on the small parts, and the grips are fine, with mild dents and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.

Erfurt “1914” Dated Model 1914 Artillery Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1120B, 9 mm cal., 8 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, hardwood grips. Fine tune adjustable blade front and
tangent rear sights, “1914” date on the chamber and “crown/ERFURT”
on the front toggle link. “Crown/gothic letter” proofs are present on many
parts, with Imperial Eagle firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breech and Revision Commission stamp on the barrel. Minus the magazine, numbers are matching overall. Grips are checkered, and the magazine is nickel with a hardwood base.
CONDITION: Very good, with 30% of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray and brown patina, mild pitting concentrated on the muzzle, high edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks. Grips are also very good, with some mild dents. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection.
