Centennial Themed Colt Model
1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Horn Grips - Serial
no. 98587, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue/French grey/
gold/silver finish, horn grips. Frame manufactured c. 1914 based off of the serial
number, subsequently embellished by Master Engraver John Barraclough, signed “J.BARRACLOUGH/ENGRAVER”
in a recessed panel on the left side of the grip frame under the grip, with extensive floral scroll pattern engraving
with matted backdrops and fancy gold inlaid border lines. The sides of the frame and slide have the floral pedals of
the engraving contrasted with French grey, which are continued on the slide catch, thumb safety, magazine release,
bottom of the mainspring housing, and on the bottom of the fitted magazine. Both sides of the slide also includes a panel
scene of a silver inlaid Pegasus, along with “1911 - ONE HUNDRED YEARS - 2011” and “COLT MODEL 1911” in gold inlaid lettering along the
ventral line. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, a blued barrel with two punch marks and polished chamber hood, A1 pattern finger
clearance cuts to the frame, and the serial number gold inlaid on the right of the frame along with a roll-marked manufacturer address. Fitted with a
pair of dark brown horn grips with horse head medallion inserts.
CONDITION: Excellent as master embellished by John Barraclough, retaining 98% plus blue and French grey finishes along with 99% gold and silver
inlays with some limited handling evidence and crisp engraving. The grips are exceptionally fine with some limited minor handling marks and attractive
dark grain. Mechanically excellent.

Automatic Pistol with Ivory Grips and Case - Serial no.
TR00697, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue/gold finish,
ivory grips. Manufactured c. 1991-2008 in Hillsdale, Illinois,
before the company moved to Le Claire, Iowa. Features Trijicon tritium insert Novak pattern blade front and notch
rear sights, “BAER 45 MATCH” marked stainless steel barrel, serrations at the front and rear of the slide, checkered
front and back straps, adjustable serrated trigger, extended thumb safety, extended beavertail grip safety, special high-
polish “charcoal” bluing contrasted with niter blue on the small parts, floral pattern scroll engravings covering roughly
50% of both the frame and slide, and a gold inlaid Thunder Ranch “lightning bolt and shield” crest on top of the slide.
The frame bears the manufacturer address and serial number on the right side. Fitted with a pair of smooth ivory grips with
engraved and niter blued screws. Includes a Les Baer Custom walnut display case and an extra pair of pearlite grips.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original charcoal and niter blue finishes and gold inlays with some minor cycling wear, limited minor
handling evidence, and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.
