Colt Third Generation Single Action
Army Revolvers with Ivory Grips and Boxes
-A) Factory Engraved Colt Third Generation
Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. SA19318,
45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish,
ivory grips. Manufactured in 1985, with both revolvers in the set consecutively
numbered, featuring fixed sights, standard Colt factory markings, nickel plated
finishes, along with Colt factory Class “D” floral pattern scroll engravings with
near full coverage of the barrels, cylinders, frames, and grip straps. Matching
full serial numbers on both revolvers found on the frames, trigger guards, and grip straps, along with “COLT ENG.” marked on the left side of both grip straps, and
matching partial serial numbers marked on the front of the cylinders and on the loading gates. Both fitted with pairs of smooth ivory grips with silver Rampant Colt medallion inserts,
and each pair numbered to its host revolver on the interiors in blue pen. Includes a Colt Custom Shop walnut presentation case with red felt interior fitted for both revolvers,
and two un-numbered Colt wood grain boxes.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original nickel plating with limited handling evidence and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. The case is exceptionally fine with a few
minor handling marks. The boxes are both very fine with some light edge wear and a few minor tears. B) Factory Engraved Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver -
Serial no. SA19319, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, ivory grips. As described in “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original nickel plating with limited minor handling evidence and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent.

Cased John Adams Sr. Signed and Expert Factory Class
“C” Engraved Colt Third Generation New Frontier Single
Action Army Revolver with Ivory Grip, Original Box, and
Factory Letter - Serial no. 04491NF, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch
round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, ivory grips. Manufactured
in 1979, with the included factory letter confirming the revolver’s
configuration, including a 7 1/2 inch barrel in .45 Long Colt
caliber, blue/color case finish, a one-piece configuration ivory
grip, and Class “C” expert level factory scroll engraving performed
by Colt Master Engraver John Adams Sr., when sent as the only
revolver of its type in a shipment to Bangers L. P. at 10 South 14th
Street in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 16, 1999, with the letter
also noting that this revolver was utilized by Colt as a show gun
for the 1999 Antique Arms Show. Features fixed sights, standard
Colt factory markings, along with Colt factory Class “C” floral
pattern scroll engravings covering 75% of the frame, cylinder, and
barrel. Matching full serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard,
and grip strap, a partial serial number marked on the front of the cylinder, along with “J.ADAMS” marked on the left of the trigger guard and grip strap. Fitted with a pair of
conjoined smooth ivory grips. Also includes a fitted leatherette Colt Custom Shop display case, the original shipping box with matching numbered Colt Custom Shop end
label, and a Colt blue box.
CONDITION: Excellent as expertly embellished by Colt Master Factory Engraver John Adams Sr., retaining 99% original blue finish and case colors with limited handling
evidence and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. The case is exceptionally fine. The boxes are very fine.
